Karnival of Trash Mail Art Call: DharmaDaDa DKunst by Erni Baer (Hamburg, Germany)

Mail art by Erni Baer (Hamburg, Germany)

November 14, 2016 - Erni Baer is a bonafide Legend of Trashpo. I believe he has changed the face of mail art during the last six years. Unfortunately, his current relation to Trashpo is unclear due to a series of events I call the Fan Club Wars.

While Erni Baer contributed to the invention of Trashpo, he never embraced DKult, choosing instead to embrace a cult devoted to himself (that is devoted to Ernie) founded by the chimerical Grigori Antonin. Yes, this is all obscure and complicated. Trashpo and DKult will eventually have to re-assess its current relation to Erni Baer. I believe history will be kind to Erni Baer. In the meantime, I am thrilled to include him in the Karnival of Trash. He certainly has a place here.

Many thanks to Erni!

WOW this is wonderful.  While the Mexican wall is going up, the Hamburg Germany wall is coming down.  History in the making if you ask me.  Thanks for blogging.  Now can you send him something to get him back to this website.  You're now the only person who can.  The rest of us have stopped trying.
