A rare glimpse into the workings of the group, this is the genuine "Shroud of Elgin".  Do not avert your eyes lest you become 3-eyed.

By coincidence I came across this in an old file: None other than Dean Marks aka Artist in Seine received and modeled this genuine Elgin Shroud shred he received. Yes, that's Dean:

A very astute question has been raised in this fine thread: Why would anyone - including DK herself - send out a fake Shroud of Elgin?

If you received a real shroud shred with a certificate of authenticity, you would know the Shroud of Elgin was stolen from the Elgin Mansion in March of 2011. At first, DK denied the existence of the shroud altogether. Now she tries to discredit anyone associated with the original shred.

Again, I absolutely believe DK should circulate her clothing in the network as sacred objects. But the Shroud of Elgin - its story and its powers - must remain untarnished.

To confuse the uninitiated, BG, or even the clueless (could be you, me, anyone). But I have a shred of the original shroud, as presented here by DVS; it's a pocket shred, personally requested and delivered via USPS. Why others wouldn't request a shred of DK's pocket, I cannot understand.

I knew there was something to it.  Maybe a distant unconscious dreamlike feeling that enveloped my corporeal being.  The question becomes: Why would a real shroud and a fake shroud be presented?

Very nice, BG. However THIS is the authentic Shroud of Elgin that has been in the possession of DKULTNY since 2012. Some Kulters have shreds from this original. You can see it has been cut up. I understand there is some dispute over the shroud, but based on its history, tests, etc. the authentic shroud is in NY.

If DK wants to circulate items of her clothing in the network, that's great. And they are meaningful to Kulters. But the Elgin Shroud has a specific designation and history that cannot be duplicated.
