Ohhh..a big red envelope arrived from Japan with delectibles that could only have come from the artisticly devious mind of Marie Wintzer...  MULITPLE interesting pieces, many of them in leaflet or booklet form.  First  to catch my eye was an instructional booklet on some altered sheet music...

...instructions on how to make paper bag masks!  "For best effect make the eyes large, with exaggerated effects!"  I hope that littel boy doesn't accidentally glue his smart little tie onto his art project.

The theme of the the majority of this hoard seemed to be "definitions."  Or, rather, lists of definitions, dictionary pages, lexicons... of a certain minxus variety...

The evidence was photo-documented!  (Looks like paper, but it's a photo!)

Also a photo!...

Minxus Marie has tried her own hand at creating a Minxus Dictionary... I think this is important to document the world for future generations... Although this dictionary might just come from the world of Alice's Wonderland...

MMmmmmm.... The letter "M"...

Which begines the word "macaque"...

...and "map"...

...and "mysteries"...

...and "MARVELOUS!"

You're not only a first-rate mail artist; you're a first-rate photographer, too!  Blessings and cheer, dear Marie!

Who killed Bambi?

Great commentary, Thom. In MinXus fashion, I was just pulling your...ah..paw. In the new update of the MinXus Lexicon you'll have a special place - as Dante found places for the great minds of his generation in the Inferno.

This does raise one of the great questions of MinXus, second, perhaps, only to " Who has the best hair?"

The question is:"What is a minx?" If anyone believes MinXus is somehow feminine or not gender equal, that is inaccurate. MinXus artists include Grigori Antonin, RCBz, Not Hi Ng, Bifidus Jones (ok, we're still not sure about the gender of Bifidus & Thom himself.

Well, a legend of MinXus is that it started when I accused Marie of being a minx while all the time hiding behind a facade of shyness and gullibility. So maybe Thom was exactly right.

Now Claire,Claire is obviously a minx & wears it on her sleeve.

DVS -- you are De-Vee-ouS, indeed...

And thanks for your enthusiasm, Claire... it does highlight many of Marie's talents!

That word phrase -- "artistically devious" -- might have been thrown down on whim for lack of a better-thunk term. Perhaps "artistically imp-ish?"  ..."creativistic revelry?" ..."playfully ART-iculate?"

Or maybe I shouldn't project at all... and we could classify it as its own genre-- "minxish" --as in: "I swear there was a double-entendre in that art panel! But it could just be that the artist was playing to my tendency of over-analysis with her minxish ciphering."

Add it to the lexicon!!!

Thom's commentary is always excellent, but I've been a bit hung up in the first paragraph on Marie's "artistically devious" mind. That's interesting. Her work always strikes me as being very sincere & lacking in humor & irony, if anything. Her mentor, Grigori Antonin, now that strikes me as being devious - or DK has named me De-V-iouS. But Marie? I suppose it's in the company you keep.
