A bit scary? No, although the postgal came close to losing a finger or two.

How did Dean know that I am the daughter of a carpenter?

In order to see what is going on here...I picked up the hammer and saw!

Real metal cutting saw here...amazing construction on a video case base,

and amazingly it survived the journey through the postal services.

The gals are, well...the gals :-)

Maybe Dean is trying to tell me to "saw-it-off"...the extra fat?

In any case, it is a FAB piece of mail art as only Dean can make and send!

The message says it all...a Mail Art Omen commemorating our Midnight in Paris...sigh!

xxx many thanks Dean! My dear friend...how could I not LOOOOOVE this? :-)

One never knows Marie, I am in the hands of the Mail Art Omens ... but our clothes dryer did break down and I was not able to fix it ... who knows what that might bring?

I'm flabbergasted. Dean, I'm sure you are WANTED in that arrondissement now. What can possibly come next, I wonder.

Yes, I can certify for a fact that this sharp mail art arrived from Dean without any packaging , no wrappings, no envelope...just naked as is. Actually, it has a very good base made from that dicarded video case, and it acts as a nice serving tray. I offered the postgal a bit of wine, and she went hppily on her route, not understanding if the red spots on her blouse were from her bloody fingers or the wine tasting or the red dye from the eggs?:-)

p.s. today is "color the eggs Red Day" as we are in Greek Passion Week, Sunday is Easter

Actually Marie, I find it amazing myself.  I did manage to cut myself somehow when I was putting it into the post box.  I was waiting for the worse from Katerina's postgal.

Yes, I will have to come up with something for Vizma, sorry about that.  You may recall that this piece was nearly sent to Vizma. I thought it would be too graphic for Katerina's postal gal.  There was always the risk that the postal gal might also cut herself on the blade and bleed all over Katerina's mailbox.

The real reason is that I became uneasy with this piece which is the first time in any of my mail art pieces.  I really don't like gore or monsters (actually not even Zombies).  My theme is funny, and that's all.  So when this piece went from funny to gore I myself was shocked.

PS Vizma, You are correct, I'm the one on the right with the pearls.  I crashed the photo shoot and no one noticed that I was a man, (well male).  You might be able to tell in the photo that I asking the blonde next to me if she would like to come over to my place after to see my Airplane stamp.

Huh? Did Val say that Dean IS a lady?? One of the ones in the photo?

I've never heard of red or black pennies, so the pick-up lines wouldn't work on me. "Would you like to come up and see my aeroplane stamp?" would work though....but please, NO banana lines!!

I'm quite jealous of this piece, Katerina!!
