Hand Sewn Chihuahua & Chicken Mail Art from Shellie Lewis!

Who would think to send a Chihuahua and a Chicken in an envelope to a Gnome in Minneapolis?

Shellie Lewis, that's who!

They're adorable, and I love them!

Check out the ornament in this sweetly drawn chicken's mouth - awesome!  How do you make drawing a spot on cartoon chicken like this look so effortless?  I want to be able to draw chickens like Shellie does.

Shellie writes that she also made this little hand sewn toy Chihuahua wonder of intricacy, dexterity and skill too, and I am just in awe!  It's so LITTLE and cute, how do you even sew such a tiny thing?  Are human fingers REALLY capable of this?  I mean, check out it's collar, even, in that third picture.  See the tiny little metal D-Rings on that miniscule ribbon of a collar?  There is not a single detail left out, even on such a microscopic scale!

I took a picture showing this little baby's finely stitched mouth.  There is even the softest amount of pink on the underside of it's muzzle, on it's side, tail and under one armpit, just like a real puppy shows bits of pink between it's fur.

The nose is embroidered perfectly spherically.  It's big Chihuahua eyes are sized perfectly to it's head.  There are so many tiny, delicate pieces of fuzzy fabric cut and sewn tightly together to create this sweet little masterpiece.

This lady can do EVERYTHING!

Reassurances were required for the Chihuahua in residence that the new tiny tot was a compliment to his adorability, and soon he wanted to nuzzle and protect it too.

OMG, Shellie - THANK YOU!  THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
