Beautiful painted envelope and card from Frieder Speck

I think this envelope got returned to Frieder, because it was included in another envelope and they both had cancellation marks. It's a beauty. And I love the stamps on the back as well.

The card is a cut up painting on paper, from the early 90's. I haven't seen the other ones of the series, it would be interesting, but this one sure can stand on its own. Thank you Frieder, I was so happy to get this first mail from you!

Thanks for your nice comments and thank you Marie for the blog I just saw it now. Sometimes I´m missing blogs and comments I shoud answer. The letter came first back to me, I think there is a postman in the post office who don´t like envelopes that are not standard some are missing completly. So I tried a second time, and it came through.

This is different for Frieder. I always love his work, and love this also. Even though light, it's quite moody at the same time.

Love the envelope! The brush strokes/forms and handwriting is poetic..

Nice indeed. It's so different from what Frieder usually does! I tend to think of Frieder's work as dark & brooding; that doesn't mean I don't like it - I do very much. He lets some light in here & it's excellent.
