I found this beautiful blue mail art hidden among the computer generated junk mail on my front porch.  Without even looking at the return address on this white envelope with a woman wearing her hair in a bun, I knew it had to be from Marni W.  The lovely printed swallows in flight gave it away as her style, and as always, mail art from Marni is a wonderful respite for the eyes and soul from the everyday world.

Inside the envelope I found a matching blue print of an extended arm with little birds perched on it, like the woman on the outside of the envelope before the birds flew from her arm into the sky.  Marni carried the blue color and tranquil feeling forward with a calming dandelion nature print showing it’s seeds starting to fly away on the wind.  As I gazed at the dandelion a real, tiny, delicately painted leaf fluttered to the floor before I rescued and admired it on my fingertip.  Then there was the full color mini zine with a poem inside which made me realize that the entire envelope and contents had been a visual and tactile poem for the eyes all along.

Thank you for sending me beautiful art and poetry, so wonderfully matching and harmonious, Marni.  You do such creative and inspiring work and I'm always grateful to receive it.
