A Two Day Spring Break = Mail Art Making

When I was a student, spring break meant I would go somewhere, usually to a much colder than the beach community I went to school in. One spring break I spent driving through upstate New York and into Canada. Now that I’m a teacher, I spent most of the break working at school without the students around, and for the past couple of years, I’ve spent my actual days off making things. So here’s what I made. The size of the cards was completely random. I went through my address book to see who I was going to send to and then pulled a card from the stack. If you live in the U.S. you should have already received your item.

Ahh Angie, I remember making that one. I love any books not in English and it seems that I've been quite lucky with this lately. I have a bunch that I just sent out in Russian, this one's in French, and I have another book that I bought yesterday that's about Doris Day in Italian.

Uuuuuh! I can see the work in progress you sent me... Magic!

I have already a constant place for Foster-collages on my shelf:

The mail art as we like it!

I don't have much left to rant about, but I did make these recently. I'll send them out with mail-art like things very soon. Trying to spread my fat face around the world in button form.

Wonderful Angie, glad that it got out to you. I need to slow down a little bit with the amount of things that I send. In that pile I sent out 20 cards at once, and I mailed out about that many the week before. Although I think I need to slow down, I'm going straight to making things when I get home. I think I'm going to make all black and white cards...now I'm just ranting.

Great pics. Everything looks so organized! My room looks more like a bomb exploded during mail art making.
