Your sculptures are magnificent. They pulse with energy and life and joy. You somehow manage to create the illusion of true suspension - they appear weightless - yet not floaty. They are clearly grounded - thats what conveys the power of the movement. I would love to hear what inspires you, and how they come into existence. Does it take days or weeks or months? Do you work in wax first, before you cast? Is there much preparatory work - drawings, small scale models etc? Do you use balances and counter balances within the sculptures?

Obviously, I am not a sculptor - but the process intrigues me as much as the final product.

The weather vane and the the acrobats/contortionists are my favorites. And 'Maiya on Musui' most of all. Truly liminal figures in liminal spaces. That was the most brilliant title for the exhibition.

Pleas send me your address, I would love to send you some mail.

Earthling, this is the last but certainly not the least welcome message to IUOMA you receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. When you joined IUOMA on 7 November I was unable to welcome you on board.  At the time I was in a celestial Journey far beyond the Milky Way. Now, back to planet Earth, I´d love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time to start trading snail mail art. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

The Celestial Scribe

Terrene Embassy

Republik van Patland

Caixa Postal 24827

I look forward to see a piece of yours in our terrene mailbox. I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is nothing less than a Celestial Promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland Official Envelope Provider.
