Thanks for some indication of intention, Karen. Of course it's not necessary, as the work does & ultimately must stand on its own.

Some asemic writers tend toward calligraphy & others toward fonts, typefaces, etc. Putting it on the page with images, colors, etc. contributes to establishing a kind of tone or context that enhances the asemics, I think. And there can be asemic poetry, asemic fiction, asemic correspondence, on & on.

I think what you've done here is really interesting. A lot of asemics people in the Eternal Network. I hope you'll consider trading with some of these folks:

Merci, Karen!

If this was my peice (which, of coursen it isn't and never would be, so you can completely ignore what I Ihave to say -- after all, most people do!), I would just enjoy the different words, languages, type faces, etc, that had been more or less randomly gathered, and the way that they fit together on a page.If (still!)...well I wouldn't try and attach meanings , especially concerning 'sanctioning authorities' (ie who put the original words together?), or a story.

Then the 'story' is what you make of it Are you going to tell us what it is? "Once upon ana semic time..."

I would just enjoy the words.

I still do.

Bon weekend,

Val

Val, i think each piece of work has it's own story...i'm trying to get out of the way so that find out what it is :)

Thanks Karen -- that's a pretty comprehensive explanation of something that somehow can't be explained. I must ask: do you understand the meaning of each of the documents? That would seem to be necessary if you then gpo on to question the sanctioning (issuing?) authorities (ifd they are authorities, that is)?

I've never really understood asemics, although I can (or used to) be able to manage aerobics an anaerobics.

thanks...it's what i'm calling 'text based and asemics' , nice or official looking documents that have no meaning beyond themselves. i don't care if the symbols are made up or appropriated, just so that they play with the ideas of  meaning and verity and i also want to question the sanctioning authorities behind them, the ones  that seek to define (and confine? ) "value"...thanks for your comments! since i've found this site it's been a lot of fun!

I think a good chunk of it is a kind of asemics. With Val - it's nice.
