Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I love to create things - but even more than that I like to share the things I make. I love the inspiration that comes from receiving art from others, and nothing beats the experience of holding actual art (as opposed to just looking at electronic images, say). I like having 'treats' to look forward to - and receiving mail art is a big treat for me. I get huge joy from imagining how my art is travelling, and how it will be received when it arrives. It makes me smile.

The mail must be moving again in South Africa - glad you received my envelope. And thanks so much for your golden 'messy' mail - a great abstract, and the bonus cards inside are amazing. Now I have to decide if I should keep them, or send them out into the world...

  • Linda French

I'm so looking forward to receiving your art. You watch your mailbox, too.

  • David M Holbrook

Yes please, but I know nothing about mail art!

I was invited to join by a friend - who tellsme he has exchanged with you - and would love to experiment.

    Cheers

  • Victoria

Hi Petrolpetal--mail art winging its way to you.

I have not read all of your comments, but it looks as if you are searching for easy-cut material for rubber stamps (BTW-loved the stamped image on the envelope that you sent recently). Look at http://www.dickblick.com/products/speedball-speedy-carve-blocks/

At the bottom is an international phone #--you may be able to buy online or by phone. The store also carries easy-cut linoleum block materials.

  • Carmela Rizzuto

Hi again--just to let you know that I have used this product and was very satisfied. DickBlick store has been around a long time and is highly reputable.

Thank you so much !!!!! What a great surprise to read from South Africa last Saturday . Looks like I should spend less time at work and come back to mail art... Shouldn't I ?  Christmas holidays are coming fortunately.  Many thanks from Brittany - France   - Armelle

Thank you for the green corrugated card "Virgin Lightning Bolt." It is a surprising piece, unlike any I have received before. The folded tab under the tape is a good idea to include a message.  Thank you again. --LInda

Glad you liked it. It is quite thick. Did it get any damage? I try to send more extreme things.
