Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I am a multi-media artist fascinated by process, culture, and communication. Correspondence art uplifts these three factors in such a spontatneous (and simultaneously intentional) way, offering an alternative to the conventional art exchange and interaction

My personal art interests include, political/activist art, Queer art, erotic art, found-object based art, experimental art, collaborations, Latinx art, oddities, urban legends, cassette culture, copier/scanner mishaps, newspaper clippings

Hi Mah Nu, we were discussing the older mail art & I came across this scan of 2 pages from a German mail art/underground lit. zine circa 1980.

The collage is by Genesis P. Orridge of Throbbing Gristle & Psychic TV fame. Industrial & noise music were literally born via the network and circulating cassettes. Genesis promoted Throbbing Gristle via this kind of grassroots promotion. As a result, there is a lot of FAB Genesis art out there. (Of course Genesis was just another looney like the rest of us. Who knew?)

I hope you will send me some stuff so I can do a new article on cassette culture and the network.
