Frost already? Oh nooooo. I would be very sad if frost was already invading. And I would miss the cicadas a lot. Cicadas are so loud during summer, but I love it, because it means it is summer. When they go quiet we all know what comes next...
David, your mail roll has arrived! :D What a nice surprise and great fun! Your drawings and humor are the best. I look atPetsmowith new eyesthanks to you. Jukka Järvinen and I have to figure out how to blog it..
Did you send me the great corgi card I got today??? It looked like your fancy handwriting...if so, THANK YOU!! It is my new/only art in the new place!! And Fonzie is thinking of getting it as a tattoo on his butt.
Working on great things as I type! Nashville is funky. I've not gotten hooked in yet, but that takes time. The first place I visited was the Hatch Print shop! They were really cool. I'm looking in to volunteering there and perhaps getting some letterpress experience. I adore their work!
Yes, Finnish is a grammatical puzzle, even for me! I think I never be finished with the Finnish :) perhaps because my mother language is Swedish, I belong to the Swedish-speaking Finns. (but speaks also Finnish) Your free translation is a little misleading :))
Cartoon characters on front with a crazy little story on the other side. The stamps were not cancelled so I couldn't tell their origin. The printing looked like yours.
YES! I loved "reaching out to Hispanics"! Pedro and Mr Latimer and the garlic cleanse from West Hollywood. Perfect. Special toxic suits. How do you get such great results on the enlargements of cartoons? I cannot grasp anything done with computer/black magic boxes so don't waste any time telling me. Mucha gracia'.
Hello David. Thanks for your card! I just came back from lunch with Ms Donaghal. You'll be happy to know that I plied her with drinks and then slipped something into her drink. I think she'll be more than willing to approve the expansion that you need to exhibit your overly large paintings. All the best.
Thank you for your great mail, I am rich now with flux bucks! Hmm, what to buy with them, a sofa sized painting perhaps? Did not get round to blogging but I uploaded some pics in my photos.
Yes, red+yellow+gray dots, which seemed very attractive. Now, with the real western romantic story, I'm not so sure. Naw, I still like them! Thanks for the info; I was going to have to buy a jeweler's loupe.
Thank you so much for the surfing piece!! I just got it and it was my first piece of mail in New Orleans- a perfect way to start life here. It's on my fridge at the moment- as I'm contemplating surfing through the quarter... it floods as as soon as it rains here. Good thing I'm on the sixth floor! Thank you again, your work always makes me smile, giggle, and gets myself working on something, dammit!
David,so glad tohear myother cardhas arrived. There's not muchto say about theprocess, but Imay be trying tokeep the interestalive bygoingbehind the scenes, not asmagnificentasyour workthough:))) Have a good week!
David--thank you so much for Drop shipping of our new product line, DryerPo. The prototype you created is absolutely perfect. I'm glad to see you can form perfectly round lint balls so economically. This prisoners must be manufacturing these for cigarette money. I laughed, I cried, I laughed again. The bonus dirty wool sock is ingenious. This will give new life and meaning for all the mismatched socks out there. I once saw a laundromat where they had a clothesline strung along the wall with all the mismatched socks hung on it. It's a universal problem. Now we can capitalize on it. I hope you are hard at work scraping things out of your dryer because the orders are piling in. The mangled dollar made me laugh and cry at EXACTLY the same time. We once put a piece of pizza through the wash. It stayed intact minus the toppings and was quite clean. Thanks for this package. It was so worth it too, to see the look on my son's face as he opened it. He has your same absurdist sense of humor and his first question when he saw it was from you was, "Is it another game?"
Hello David! How are you on this fine morning? I got the mock-up cover for my forthcoming poetry book. Thanks a million. Loved the little drawings and quite intrigued as to where this 'epic', Gothic poetry book could go. Have a great day.
David, I got your card, ahem, book cover and fantastic story! I love it. I will blog as soon as I get around to it. At the moment I have a lot going on ... Thank you so much!!
please feel free to send the bill to my son. He is the person behind the gross over-use of staples. He couldn't find the tape. He created that for you. I had nothing to do with it, therefore if a sloth Kult is established, he will have the responsibility for that too along with cleaning his room. The tree was made out of a box of apple jacks.Into every childhood, a ton of sugar cereal must fall. sloth on
Thanks David, for the lovely Hula envelope with the intriguing mail art inside...hmmm, luckily I'm not of the fragile and famously sensitive Australian temperament, so No, it wasn't too over the top for me!! Have already made you a response and will throw it in the post tomorrow! Cheers!
Hiya. I've looked all over the #$%*! site and I absolutely can't find "add friend". I see "remove friend". WTF? How come everyone else figures this stuff out and not me (a rhetorical question)?
Hi David, received your mailart piece yesterday. I love the watercolor painting, and i was extra excited to find this "postcard" had something inside it! Thanks!
Dear David, I received your MA - "An Original Engraving from the First Pictorial Edition of Moby Dick" - wow! I love your take on it - it's cool, charming and funny - Thank you so much! (I looove that book too/'tis very meaningful to me...) When it arrived I couldn't quite tell what was going on because of the "old-timey" address label from "Bullington's Fine & Rare Prints..." - aaanyway, I loved it!
BTW: do you recall what font you used to print my address on that label? I really like it. You're quite a wit my friend %_^!
O: It was sent to my old address. Please note ma should now be addressed to me at:

Just got the studio together, and spend about 1/2 my time in nyc now, so the responce may be slow, but eventually... Thanks again!

Bonjour!
It's a short trip from Corgi books to Corgi model cars.
I had a Toyota Corolla in the mid-80's.
It got written off by a lorry (truck?).
I nearly did too.
But here I am still writing nonsense, cos there ain't no stoppin' me.
