I love mail that doesn't ask for money, pitch credit cards or summons me for jury duty. I'm amazed and grateful for all the generosity of this community.
(Note: my website is under construction).
That was a truly great Envelope you sent me -- great cactusy collage on the front, with all sorts of beasties and things making guest appearances, AND some weird LA dog walkers on the back (the dogs look quite normal though) AND the great tom-tom and piper black'n'purple card inside AND (this was the best bit) the extract from the book featuring my 'actress friend' Blanche. i keep warning her that if she keeps shoplifting, then she' will get into very serious trouble; She should stick to Mail Art like the rest of us, n'est-ce pas?
Nadine, my friend, thanks a lot for the supercool butterfly card! I would love to do that too! ;-) Always great to get your mail! See you in the mail soon ...:-)))
Hi Nadine thank you again for all the really kind words. I also look forward to getting your wonderful original mail art. Your last mail was stunning and the envelope brilliant. I have been working quite a lot so far this year so I am sorry I haven't been letting people know I have received. I just get on and send back to whoever has sent me mail. I am busy making a book for Cheryl Penn - very nervous !!!!! take care , with love Karin (*!*) xx
Ha! I like you already ;) Purdie is most definitely the Queen of our house. I left her this morning sunning herself in the window as I trundled off to work. The catnip art from DK is in fact the first piece of mail I have received for or about the cat. I don't think anyone knew I had a cat before that!
Churchill is my married name, but my husband assures me he is distantly related to Winston somewhere along the line. I'm not so sure, but I like the name anyway, and it's still new enough to be a novelty for me ;)
What a fabulous story! Thank you for sharing it. My husband is definitely proud of the name, and a very 'English' name it is too! I've adopted it gracefully, as a proud Welsh girl ;)
You wrote a "triple threat" comment a while ago and gave me a good laugh. Today a fantastic assortment arrived from you--great stuff in there, Nadine. Love Mike Dickau's (and others') stamps, and as for the Morley sticker, I want to go out right now and find an abandoned building (not hard in these parts). I enjoy every single item. Thank you ...
Bonjour Nadine! Thank you so much for the lovely face that you sent me. How do you manage to paint on crinkly paper? It must be very hard to do. The portrait is so realistic, and the smile reaches out to me.
I'll be mailing you something back in the next few days.
Thanks again, and I hope that you are having a good summer. Regards, Val
WhoaH Nadine! Got a beautiful envelope filled with goodies from you! I love your the faces you draw. So much Love put into them! Thanks also for the add and pass gems; especially"Hot rod Sinners"! All the best!!!
Thanks a lot for your mail art! I like such photos of weird people. I have many vintage postcards with strangers, maybe someday I will do such portraits by myself! :))
There will be something for you soon in the mail! I'm a quite slow, sorry.:)
Nadine, I am devouring the box of art you sent me as if it were a calorie free hot fudge sundae. You are the best and yet another piece of Nadine will be going to work with me (The Feather wand). I love every single thing. It came with a return to sender sticker on it which was confusing. My old mailman, who is my hero, told me that in the past when art would come postage due or whatever, that he would add stamps for me. In all the years I've been sending and getting art I have never had to pay extra and now I know why. Unfortunately he has been transferred to another route and only fills in occasionally. But THAT is how much he loves all of our mail art. The clown's wife looks tired of his shit!! you and your cast of characters rule my planet
Nadine...super mail art arrived for me!!! Love it All *!* Of course the 3-d button is my favorite...I posted/blogged all on ATC Rebel page....thank you - thank you!
How topical this Tuesday before Wednesday: "campaign contributors" from Nadine. Love 'em, and all else the past month, thanks Nadine! You probably were behind and now I am. Kind of odd times, but no matter. You will hear from me soon. Signed, your #1 Fan, Nan., but don't worry or anything
Hi Nadine..."dank" is thanks and "danke" is thank you.
We have not celebrated Halloween for 2 years due to the upset of the dogs.
The constant door bell ringing and going to the door.
I have been working heavily this week on doggy adoption applications and setting up meetings with applicants. 1 for sure adoption and 2 maybe pending..this is a good week!
Bonjour Nadine! Thanks for your lil card. Sorry to hear that your Mail Box is empty. What are you going to do about it, Val? Send me something? OK, I will by the end of the week. Thanks again & best wishes, Val
Hey Nadine! I received your wonderful piece of mail art today! Thank you so much, it's fabulous! THANK YOU!!! I'll definitely need to make the time soon and create some mail art again... and of course send some of it your way :D
Your profile says you like mail that doesn't ask for money. . . the Blessed Father says, send me your money or go to hell. I hope you still want to be friends. BF you still want to me friends
Thank you Nadine! Like you, I've been sending mail art and making collages for most of my life, and since I'm 62, that's a long time! Looking forward to mail from you, and I will respond. Have a great week! Jane
Shitfire. . . you are the only person to figure out where the idea for the Blessed Father came from. I loved the his line in the "Loved One" I have to figure out how to get those stiffs off my property. I saw the Loved One when it first came out in
1964 or 5. I read that the lobby for the funeral industry had the movie pulled. I design and made my own rubber and artistamps. I co-own a perforator with a good friend. Lets keep our little secret about the" Loved One" to ourselves BF
I was wondering if Jonathan was alive, sorry to hear he's in a wheelchair. I to have the movie as well. . . I loved Liberace, do you want a silk or rayon interior. . . rayon chafes you know. I don't sell stamps, which ones are you interested in. I'm
mailing you something today and will include a bunch of my rubber and artistamps. BF
There's a rubber stamp manufacture run by UCP (United Cerebral Palsy) and they offer a free class in stamp making. I design my stamps on my Mac and go to Ready Stamps, 30 minutes later I have stamps. They also have a button maker,
and a laser engraver, and other cool stuff. An old girlfriend got me into rubber stamp mail art (1992) I wasn't happy with pre-made stamps so I was happy to find out about Ready Stamps. My early stamps were were pen and ink, now I use the computer. I also use their printers for my mail art. I'm one lucky guy. Why does PBS still play the Larry Welk Show??? Let him rest in peace. Is Larry in Whispering Glades???? If you need stamps made, Readt Stamps is very reasonable. BF
Joyboy's mom on the floor with the refrigerator. how demeaning for fat people. A big tub for mom, how funny. I've been the Blessed Father for over 20 years and you are the only person to get the connection to the Loved One. For that I'll send you a rubber stamp of your choice. BF
