So 'No Strils' (I think it's better like that) to make a postcard.has come into existence. I'm more a hamster man, than a guinea pig one, but if the Nostrils records you are offering a real vinyl records, then can I have one, too, please, If not, not, cos I only have a record player.
And know you have a 'fixation' about teeth fixatives? Well, it takes all sorts to make a postcard.
I'll be mailing you something back soon, and, in he meantime, hope that you and yours are well.
Nice to hear from you again after quite a while, and thanks for the lil card. I see you have now gotten to 1989: slow down, man, or you'll get another bump on your head!
When, or even if, I can manage to tear myself away from the beach, I'll mail you something back.
Jon, thanks a lot for the new card, very cool!! Even cooler you just wrote "Svenja Wahl - road 9" as an address. You have to love the postal guys for this one ;-))
Jon--The zine fest is next weekend (Labor Day). You have time to send me some to hand out if you want. I am working a mail art "station" for an hour and can have them there.
any new cd's in the shoot? I've got lots of teenagers around who got a huge kick out of Nostrils Knows Hare and have asked if you'll be doing a follow-up :)
Wish you could have gotten to be there and gotten some comments....but it's nice to know they the zines did disappear ...I will look forward to your new one..thanks.

Hello Jon. Thanks a million for your zine! I got it today and have already started reading it. Good stuff! I should have a review of it on my blog when I'm finished. Take it handy!
Fantastic '6800 miles'! Fantastic journal! Thanks for sharing it with us all.
It makes great reading.
I especially liked:
-- all the hotel and casino ventures, and it was good that you enjoyed being with your parents, even though your father seems to be a bit of a mischief maker (day 18)
-- reading about all of your food adventures (did no-one go to a bathroom at all? No, don't answer that!). What's a 'hushpuppy'? In England it's a sort of non-Elvis type suede shoe. How many pounds did you put on in 29 days?
-- Pecos TX dudes with cowboy hats, cowboy boots and swimming costumes
-- the nothingness, emptiness and boring-ness of driving long distances when there's nothing to see
-- the vinyl & music store adventures
-- taco trunk eat outs (we only have pizza vans, alas)
-- the Petrified Forest and Dearly Departed and the flea market in Pasadena and the Big Sur (did you meet a Confederate General from... Richard?) and the St Louis City Museum
-- losibng and finding Route 66...and getting your kicks on it, of course
GREAT! Diffferent to, but just as absorbing as, your Oriental adventure.
Hey, mon ami: don't be ultra-sensitive -- my comment wasn't meant to suggest multi-generation Foster xenophobia. Au contraire/just the opposite, as I really enjoyed your description of the fat Brit confrontation on the bus. There have been many, many times when I'd have reacted just as your father did -- do give him my regards!
Jon, received your zine today! Read the first few pages standing in the kitchen on my way to doing the next thing but couldn't put it down. i like the way you write and look forward to reading more when the next thing's done. Thank you!
