    Dear Enchanting David Stafford Esquire,

    (This is me shouting)

I AM SO ECSTATIC WITH THE CALENDAR I COULD POP!!! I'm an EXCELLENT POPPER - ask my family!! SO my first PoP performance will be a Brilliant Cerulean Blue Hue. MAN!! I'm CHUFFED!!!!! Thank you :-) XX

  • cheryl penn

Um - does that mean I can celebrate USA AND SA holidays? Even if on the wrong days? Its much more fun being on holiday when people have to work anyway - the movie houses are less full and I don't have to listen to other people chewing their popcorn...

  • Mim Golub Scalin

Thank you so much for ACHE!  Not only does it remind me of a dear friend of mine, a poet & visual artist, but also of an incident that I witnessed one year while at the Macy's Thanksgiving parade many years ago. Ache!

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Calling all nutcakes...oh there you are, Dave. What a great Gap box I find from you on returning home!! Mr Twig has won my heart but you want me to cremate him? Damn. We'll discuss this further. Your drawings, instructions, fabulous old painting book, and picture of your mom all slay me. It's probably supposed to be a joke, but the mom in that photo actually does look like you, you know. More words soon...

  • Austin Wills James

I got the two CDs you sent, thank you so much! I've already added them to my iPod.

David, everyone knows you can't do bad mail art.

  • vizma bruns

    Thanks for the address.

     ps. what is a dickey?

  • Mim Golub Scalin

Round mail is headed your way. #885

  • Marie Wintzer

David! Thank you for your card! So special, as usual. I love it. I was just about to send you a smallie with written "when oh when I am going to see another David Stafford?" and hey, here it is!! It's a fab!!

  • Carina

Thank you so much David! Lot of greetings from Finland....

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Bonsoir david! Someone from santa Fe sent me an incredible vinyl LP for my 'Summer in Sigean' Exhibition. WAS IT YOU??? Val

  • Valentine Mark Herman

    Thank you, Moi!

David that's a truly brilliant album cover that you sent. It's fantastic, and I did laugh at the sleeve notes. The first part of the Exhibition finishes next week (it will return in August, with your album), and I'll take the album down, photo it, and feature it here.

    Two questions:

    i) where on earth did you find it? ii) is there a record inside the cover? (If there is, i wonder how I can get to it without destroying your masterpiece°.
THANKS AGAIN, Val of HerMan Records

  • Valentine Mark Herman

You're amazing! The cover looks so reaL I'm not going to open it up until after the Big Exhibition in July, 'cos i don't want to ruin it. When i take the little Exhibition down next week, I can really look at the sleeve notes.

Merci Beaucoup...and to Abbe too. Val

  • Lesley Magwood Fraser

David! Your great big NOT ART has arrived, much appreciated... I am in the middle of moving house so it will be a while before you find a Kloof NOT ARt in your postbox. X

  • Helder

Hi David i would like to know if the AMAZING piece (a small and very original movie poster with my name as Director) that i received yesterday to TAKE1-Film and Mail Art? is from you ? I think it is...

  • Marie Wintzer

David, thank you for yet again another (that's a repetition I think) great card. I love it. Is that David running to the PO or David running home after the PO?

  • Marie Wintzer

You didn't wreck the back! ;-))) I love it. The cape or chair. Before it evaporates hum... very mysterious again... thanks again David, it's a fab.

  • Mao Huan (lazybunny)

  • Bruno Cassaglia

  • Carina

David, your tube has arrived! Oh what a precious loading, I will frame them! I have to tighten them up so they are flat and can be photographed... just a moment..

    Thank you so much, David.

  • vizma bruns

Hooray! I live in hope for a big future for the Bruns mail art facili-tea! Drop in anytime for a cuppa David (although it'll more than likely be a G&T in a cup) and I'm especially chuffed by your comment. The cards were a spur of the moment thing- I fell for the flashing FREE FREE 250 CARDS and immediately ordered them! Chopped the bits myself, no dye-cutting there, each one is different! Very glad to enchuff you, David, she gasped Brunsly.

  • Carina

Thanks for the jpg file, David! (now I can blog) I really enjoy your work - unfortunately I have no group for this "project" - it was just something that happen ...
Did you print your picture at home on your own printer? I love the blue color on the yellow quality paper, it's a successful combination!

  • Imelda Wubben

Hi David I saw about 15 C so not so warm and an umbrella would be a good idea. Hope you have fun in A'dam.

time is dynamic like a rubber band...it can stretch at will indeed. 2028 is near.i'll be prepared.

be aware that mockingbirds induce to severe poetry swings specially when they sing continuously from 6:00 am.

96 springs, what a wonderful number!

    cheers

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Oh David, another card from you, I am in luck--thank you! It's thick, it should last well into the 23d century, and they didn't cancel your stamps. It's in perfect shape, did you really send it or Are you HERE? That worried song song, you pose an interesting vexing question. And no doubt you expect no answer but here is my opinion: Life is full of layers, just like art, so categories and definitions criss-cross all the time, and yes, you can sing a worried song if you're not a beaver. You can sing one if you're a laughing hyena.

  • cheryl penn

Dear David - another joy from you.  Very off topic, but you may have been responsible for the formulation of an office for unemployed paintings. Whistlers Mother moonlights as an administrator there. She says its boring hanging on a wall and being stared at all day. X

  • Lesley Magwood Fraser

The postcard that turned into an ad is here! TEMERE. What do those 2 girls dread? Having to blog everything they get in the mail maybe? I know the feeling! Thankyou for making my day again David.

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Groanings etc with Dave + the Institute for Lowered Self-Esteem came. I'm still laughing. But your instruction to me is naughty--the fire torment again?! No, and you can't make me no matter how poorly you draw the pyre. Thanks, Dave.

  • Thom Courcelle

Thank you for your terrific--and funny-- envelope and "poem!" My new catch phrase might have to be WWRDD? ("What Would Red Dolphins DO?")

  • Dean aka Artist in Seine

  • Marie Wintzer

David! Sorry for my huuuuge delay in letting you know... your card arrived and of course I love it much much. I blogged it at:

It goes into my box of specials....

  • Mim Golub Scalin

    Thanks for the surprise faces!

  • Marie Wintzer

A new David Stafford has been gracing my mailbox, yeeeey!! Thank you! I'm always ecstatic to get mail from you, I don't know why. Well, I know why, it's fab mail. Lovit!!

  • Marie Wintzer

now I like it even more...

  • cheryl h.

Hi David. heheeh a fish... ok interpretations are in the eyes of the beholders, that is totally ok, I was intending it to be more of an abstraction of an entity that contains, holds, thoughts and feelings, which as you can see, they are not contained, and come oozing out.
