1952 (when I sent a "Thankyou for my Birthday Present' to my Grandma, and illustrated it with a little drawing). Since then my Mail Art history has been, well, interesting
Et maintenant; send me three numbers between 1-35, I will add three numbers also and my son will roll a dice for the seventh number. And then we will also be able to get some swedish kronor to add to our future collection of money.
The Loo is very far away from Scotland so in all my modesty I would advice you to do the business before crossing the North Sea. Nice coat you are wearing today. White with gold and pearls, very classy. Could you send Val your hat please...? As you will surely not wear it another time and it is a special day, today, isn't it? Thank you. Suus from Holland
hi Val...i'll give priority to the 3 doubles then...later i'll send you 4 singles(i have two ready).. great profile pic, by the way i saw you boarding the The Spirit of Chartwell earlier, you must be quite busy this week!
thanks VMH , as you know i only took the job with the understanding that i had nothing to do or DO NOTHING . i wish you luck in finding a replacement . i still hope to be more active here and in the mailboxes of the world . THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR WORK ON THIS SITE .
bonjour Val, i see with apprehension that you are planning to make me work harder. here down south, in S.Marino all i do is cut ribbons at inaugurations which i'm very good at..i will accept this honorable position you kindly offer me on temporarily basis, though.
oh my skills won't be appreciate for long over here...i'll be overthrown by then.
i check the pictures you posted...the canvasses are looking very good with all the excellent works you have collected. i'm sure it'll be quite a sucessful exhibit!
cheers
ps: by the end of this week i'll send you 4 doubles and 4 singles.
Many many thank's for the envelope of goodies the Queen sent me. I was surprised by the poster of Australian culture, this would be even more beautiful if the mannequin was replaced by the Queen. Thank's also for the lovely little french pictures and papers, flyers and music ticket festivities. I was watching the televevision the other day and I saw the Queen celebrating. Did the Queen celebrate the annexation of france!?
Got your card in the mail today, thanks so much for the musical fun. I'm going to agree with everyone else, the Queen (at least in that picture) creeps me out a little bit. My response may be a little slow over the coming summer travel months, doing a little crosscountry traveling. Gonna make a zine out of it with my travel partner. Hope your well and thanks again.
Val, your card has arrived, thanks for sharing your Sigean with me!! Your town is so beautiful and have lot of wonderful narrow streets! I would get lost... with a smile on my face..
They all arrived, hurray. You're very welcome, they have been fun to do. I just noticed your crown is gone. Oh dear. But oh well, too, you will make up for it, don't we know it!
Hello Val. Received your goody mail packet...almost lost everything, the bottom of the envelope came completley undone. It arrived in a USPS postal plastic bag....thank you and I will blog soon *!*
never mind about flying ducks, Val, I've just been looking at the 'envelope a day' project on your website. love it - esp. the flamingo, parrot and bullsrushes, just to mention a few. what was it like having to send an envelope a day? did you miss any days? almost miss any days? i'm doing mailart 365 - making mailart every day. i love it but sometimes think it's driving me crazy...
wow - you've got a lot on your plate/desk/canvas at the moment, Val. The enveopes project was a great idea and the exhibition looks wonderful. it would still be lovely to see it in one long line...from your front door and just keep going? I've been keeping an eye on the arty slides thing - all new to me - would you really send me some slides? I will try to get them back to you doube-quick... is July 1st the deadline (how we all love a deadline). One day sometime, I will look in the loft where I think I might have quite a few old kodak slides. probably a silly question but do you use blank or used slides or both? :>)
doh - and i had some spare potatoes too. never mind. too kind to send slides - and when i do make time to mooch around in the loft i will keep your address in mind. Thank you Val.
hoorah the slides have arrived all of them - thank you for your arty slides (the absolute first i have ever received) and for the blanks. now to work :>)
VALENTIN HELLO! I am happy to greet him, with regard to your question, I do not know this person Antonio Moreno Garrido, I regret not help with your search, but I will consider if there is any information about this artist. a big hug!***
Ooooooooh, Orange was a horrible. 25 minutes they could get my attention, then I started pottering about in the house. Yesterday morning (long before the match) I was at the Hema in Central Station and they were giving AWAY the orange stuff. Gratis! We always have another Koninginnedag to come... Will get Bertje van Marwijk now unemployment benifit?
We lived in Soestdjik for a few years and remember the orange. My husband flew back to England via Schipol and said they had shrouded the orange stuff under tarpaulins. Hup Hup. He felt sorry.

Hi Val, thanks for letting me know you received the PC...so glad you liked...we may go to Montana in August, but there is a big ???? behind that statement.... *!*
Hi Val, Josefina is very intelligent and multilingual as well. She speaks English, biting-and-scratching, and ginger-with-stripes (Gaelic). At least, I think it's Gaelic, although I can't be sure because I only know two words of Gaelic.
Good! It was the idea to make you smile. I was going to support the Irish but they were sent home as well. So if you please could arrange that Zuh Queen can make me English for the weekend ;))
Sorry for your loss... At least the match was worth looking at. Is that cricketteam based in Amstelveen/Amsterdam? Of course England will beat any nation in cricket. Nobody else will understand the rules, hihi.
