Exchanging art through the mail is a great way to connect internationally with others on a tangible and soul-full level.
Current interests include: the Hall of Bulls, illuminated manuscripts, owls, Jeanne d'Arc, Don Quixote, La Divina Commedia, maps, Greek deities, Matsuo Basho, Vingt Mille Lieues Sous les Mers, astronomy, frogs, snakes, the Sherwood Forest, petroglyphs, Louise Nevelson, Magritte, and Shakespeare.
Thank you for notifying me of the Bigfoot Sighting in 1856. He's much scarier than the little bigfoot I saw in Atlanta. I was momentarily "hyp-mo-tized" by the whirly twirly on the back. Love the circus stamp, too!
I received your great work! The postcard "A funny thing happened" made my day! A mouse is telling a handwritten funny(?) story...I tried to find out what she is talking about but mybe it´s because of the mouse accent I could not manage it?
Great, Bifidus, no problem, no blogging necessary, I just wanted to be sure it wasn't lost in transit. One never knows, especially with some of my weird envelopes.
Bonjour Monsieur Bifidus! Thanks a lot for the card. I've never tried Japanese whisky, but there's always a first time. they've started picking the grapes here this weekend, so there will be a giant booze up in about 6 weeks time when they release the new wine and locals can drink as much as they like for about 3 dollars; Wanna come?
I'll mail you something back next week. Thanks again. Bestest, Je Sweefoo
I have had an eye on your work for quite sometime now, and I really like your style and idea. My big question is, with a talent like yours, what are you doing in Minnesota? The state bird is a Loon and they have wood ticks there. Together it is the land of 10,000 Loon-a-ticks ... maybe more. (I think it even says something to that effect on the license plates. So who is the big name concert this year at the State Fair?
Thanks for the challenge; Owls, goats, Jules Vern ... I should be able to think up something in time. For now, I'll send you a standard of mine.
Sorry, I'm still rolling on the floor laughing. Brill reply! I thought it might be because it's the only place you can wear a baseball cap with fertilizer logo on the front.
We saw Steely Dan when they were in Paris. Small place, 2000 people. The other bands I have only heard of the name. Owls, goats, Jeanne d'Arc ... it's taking more time than I thought. Time to go out for a walk. Bye for now. Dean PS I just joined the the trashpo art group this morning and have already 20 messages. Very chatty bunch, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up.
Thank you Bifidus Jones! We received your card last week and we loved your creations. What a great collage-style print and a great addition to our IUOMA collection. We will be returning the favor very soon!

Hey Bifidus! I know it's been awhile, but I just changed my address, you were right, the one listed on my page was dated. This one is current and very permanent!
Bonjour Bifidus: many thanks indeed for the 'Summer in Sigean' envelope which arrived here safely today (probably with the postlady singing along with it, but I don't know 'cos I was out). Am very greatful to your responsing to my HELP!!! request.
That would be great, thanks for the invitation and the welcome!
I do have one big question - or I guess two really - 1. is the art supposed to be tailored/themed or is it a free-for-all unless otherwise agreed upon? and 2. Are the envelopes meant to have anything in them? I have exchanged mail art/decorated envelopes in the past and they were empty, but I don't want to do something stupid right at first here!
And I want to add, I read your profile and see that you have interests listed and also say that you'll take whatever someone wants to create, so I guess I'm just wondering if that's the norm.
Thank you so much for the welcome, I'm looking forward to exploring IUOMA. Yes, I'm glad Theresa exposed me to IUOMA too it looks like it will be a great experience.

A white hose goes into a pub and has a good look around.
'Evening', says the barman. 'We don't get many horses in here these days. What can i get you to drink?'
'I'll have a whisky, please' says the horse. 'Make it a large one.'
'I expect you'd like a whisky named after you?' says the barman.
'Ok' says the white horse. 'A Trevor will be fine.'
Ha ha!
End of my one and only whisky joke.
Regards, JE Sweefoo
