Hi Jon, 'Glad the "blue" arrived ok...there is another "just blue" on the way too.

You can order that IUOMA stamp, with or without a wood base from the Sticker Dude (member here). He sells them for about $8-10, I think still.

    or write him at:

    Ragged Edge Press
    121 Varick St. 12fl
    NY NY 10013 USA

    Hi Jon,

A beautiful envelope came from you today - thank you so much! However, it's carefully taped on all the edges, and I'm afraid to open it - I don't want to damage it! Any advice?

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

I keep reading about this infamous stamp... Anyone have a picture of it to post?

    Thanks in advance if...

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

re: your mail received: Ah, I just realized it probably one piece - a card [not an envelope]?  lmk if you can - Thanks!

  • Imelda Wubben

Your Big piece arrived today safe and sound and I love it all the tape transfers and the overlay of the map off the states.

This project is fun would you like to do another?

  • Jim SantAmour

Thank you for the wonderful card!  I really like your collages...

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Hi Jon! Thanks for your latest card: weird and wonderful as usual. I'll be mailing you something back in the next few days; hope you are well. Regards, Val

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

Hi, that's funny! Actually, I did not want to damage it, so I didn't try before I asked - luckily!

Re the 1961 cancellation mark on your collage: fortuitous: it was the year of my birth ;)

Thanks again! And expect a reply w/ in the next few weeks...

  • Carina

Thank you Jon! Larger pieces sounds interesting,  A4 size could work for me, but it might take a while ... :)

  • Amy Irwen

Thanks Jon! So glad you liked it...I'm always excited when I see a piece from you in my mail...take care *!*
  • Claire (aka Cleo)

    ^_^...

  • Carina

Ok, I am working on something for you now, but it must dry a few days... I used some oily stamping colour, why did I ?!  ;)

Hi Jon, Your taped collage card has arrived, it's wonderful, thank you so much!! Have a great week  :)

  • Sarah Churchill

Thank you, Jon, for the wonderful card. It has reminded me of so many techniques I used in art school that have been long forgotten... until now! A real inspiration. Thank you again!

  • Sarah Churchill

I do love my little easel! ;)

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Bonjour Jon! Thanks for the latest card -- tis very good. I'm somewhat intrigued by the (Scottish?) Church of the Holy Rude. If it is Scottish, perhaps it is a place of holy worship for the natives who wear kilts?

I'll send you something back soon.

    Hope you are well.

     Regards, Val

  • Cristian Sima

hello, jon...glad to meet you here...i sent a letter to you...please confirm when you receive it...down, my photo  named :  Electric clasicism...

  • cheryl penn

Many thanks for mail - I'm chuffed :-) XX

  • Tallie Jones

Glad you liked the p.c.  I had a great time with that board game - 99 cents.  I wasn't sure if those little jobbies would stay on, but sounds like the acrylic gel medium worked its charms once again.

  • Sarah Churchill

Thanks for the friend request Jon. I'm glad the card arrived ok - I wasn't sure if the little holes would cause mischief in the machines.
  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

'Love the tpe-transfer you sent, Jon! "Where do we go from here?" UP, i hope :-)

I shall have to blog it, because it is "special vintage" for me! Many thanks xxx

  • PIRO

Thanks Jon, i'll send you something nice in return.

  • Susanna Lakner

Dear Jon, many thanks for share with us your video, it is always interesting to see, how lives and works the other artists. I posted alredy on my blog:

    Planet Susannia

  • Susanna Lakner

  • PIRO

  • Susanna Lakner

Thank you Jon, same way of thinking, another technique. :-)

    Hi Jon

i just recieved your zine today. It's nice to have a ride to China with you. I have allready read 5 pages slowly, to recreate myself. Thanks a lot. Something your way next week.

  • Susanna Lakner

    It would seem so.

  • Pamela Gerard

Jon-Great! I will look forward to mail from you. I am busy ripping up books as we speak....

  • Pamela Gerard

    you make zines too?

  • Ana Karina

hey! i got your zine today, thanks a bunch. i'm going to read it in a little while after dinner. I love zines!

  • Pamela Gerard

Ooo I'd like to see that one! I buy zines and read zines and love zines but have yet to make one. I have two ideas for them (mail art stuff). Time to get going I guess....

  • Pamela Gerard

Oh --I would love a copy of your China zine....hope you remember to print it! Oh yes, I order from them and also go to the SF Zine Fest every year.....and there is another zine distro i like too but darned if I can think of the name of it now....

  • Ana Karina

thanks for letting me know! now i can post a picture of both of them, the one i sent steph got peeled off in the mail D:

  • Pamela Gerard

Thanks for printing the zine for me. Scrap is great fun - hit or miss but usually there is something good there. I will pick up their card/brochure next time I go and mail it to you. Have you been to SF before?

  • Pamela Gerard

Jon--I would rather send you mail about SCRAP but actually there are two good resources about it on-line.

Google SCRAP SF and you should get their web site with directions & info and on FaceBook there is a SCRAP SF page to "like" and they have updates about their art classes and what they have to sell...it is a fun place. There is also a similar spot over in Oakland that a friend of mine likes -- I can ask her the name of it if you are going over to the east bay.

When the visit gets closer let me know and I will try to see if any interesting mail art stuff is going on....

  • Susan McAllister

Hi Jon, Thanks for the zine. It sounds like you had an amazing trip.
  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Thank you, Jon, your "LIF" tape transfer arrived in Greece! It is a beauty, 'like it lots xxx

    and it is blogged:

BlogJam: GOTIJ! from Carina, Jon Foster, Rod Summers, Erica Durante...

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

"LIFE" arrived today :-) Thanks xxx

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Well, jon, it is really fun if you can add things on the address side. Here the Greek post office frowns on anything ...I usually put rumber stampings on the back side. 'Love you cards, keep 'em coming xxx

  • Carina

Thank you Jon for a another really great taped collage, love them!

  • Ana Karina

Hi Jon, I received your collage mailart postcard today, thank you! I'm going to try to go re-photocopy one of my old zines so I can send you one.

  • cheryl penn

The transfer is safe :-) - many thanks, another great card from you X

  • Lindsay Stewart

Hey Jon, sorry it took me a bit to respond, but we were using an overhead projector in a dark room, and your postcard had a little bit of a see-through glossy part. It was fun, but we didn't get too much of a result out of it :)

  • Pamela Gerard

Jon--happy you liked it but I did discover that is actually Japanese paper not Chinese.......Oops....yeah, SCRAP is fun. Hope it is a good day when you go - it is hit or miss...

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Hi Jon, your super tape transfer arrived in Greece. Great addition to the collection xxx thanks so much. I blogged it here:

GOTIJ! and a Blue Blog Jam! from Thom Courcelle and Susanne Schilli...

  • Svenja Wahl

yes Jon, my husband had to throw away all his vinyls damaged by a flood. Saaaaaad, but some of them I rescued to use as mail art...  I'm curious what you are going to make out of your records....

  • Amy Irwen

Hey Jon, received your "nostrils knows hare"..so refreshing! LOL! Will blog soon...many thanks *!*
  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)
