I used Tombo roll on adhesive to arrange the collage 'bits', then I run the card through a Scotch TL901 laminating machine a few times; just to make sure there are as few bubbles as possible. The laminating machine was less than $30 at Wal-Mart, kinda pricey, but it keeps the collages intact; & protects anything with watercolors/ink from getting wet.
If the piece is an odd size for a laminating envelope, I use Mod Podge sealant/adhesive over the whole thing after I've used the roll-on adhesive. Although that can, in some cases, smear any ink or paint you've added (I like the effect personally).
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful tape transfer came in today's mail! Thank you so much, Jon! there are a few things in the mail for you from Greece...coming soon!
A beautiful envelope came from you today - thank you so much! However, it's carefully taped on all the edges, and I'm afraid to open it - I don't want to damage it! Any advice?
Hi Jon! Thanks for your latest card: weird and wonderful as usual. I'll be mailing you something back in the next few days; hope you are well. Regards, Val
Thank you, Jon, for the wonderful card. It has reminded me of so many techniques I used in art school that have been long forgotten... until now! A real inspiration. Thank you again!
Bonjour Jon! Thanks for the latest card -- tis very good. I'm somewhat intrigued by the (Scottish?) Church of the Holy Rude. If it is Scottish, perhaps it is a place of holy worship for the natives who wear kilts?
Glad you liked the p.c. I had a great time with that board game - 99 cents. I wasn't sure if those little jobbies would stay on, but sounds like the acrylic gel medium worked its charms once again.
Dear Jon, many thanks for share with us your video, it is always interesting to see, how lives and works the other artists. I posted alredy on my blog:
i just recieved your zine today. It's nice to have a ride to China with you. I have allready read 5 pages slowly, to recreate myself. Thanks a lot. Something your way next week.
Ooo I'd like to see that one! I buy zines and read zines and love zines but have yet to make one. I have two ideas for them (mail art stuff). Time to get going I guess....
Oh --I would love a copy of your China zine....hope you remember to print it! Oh yes, I order from them and also go to the SF Zine Fest every year.....and there is another zine distro i like too but darned if I can think of the name of it now....
Thanks for printing the zine for me. Scrap is great fun - hit or miss but usually there is something good there. I will pick up their card/brochure next time I go and mail it to you. Have you been to SF before?
Jon--I would rather send you mail about SCRAP but actually there are two good resources about it on-line.
Google SCRAP SF and you should get their web site with directions & info and on FaceBook there is a SCRAP SF page to "like" and they have updates about their art classes and what they have to sell...it is a fun place. There is also a similar spot over in Oakland that a friend of mine likes -- I can ask her the name of it if you are going over to the east bay.
When the visit gets closer let me know and I will try to see if any interesting mail art stuff is going on....
Well, jon, it is really fun if you can add things on the address side. Here the Greek post office frowns on anything ...I usually put rumber stampings on the back side. 'Love you cards, keep 'em coming xxx

Hi Jon, 'Glad the "blue" arrived ok...there is another "just blue" on the way too.
You can order that IUOMA stamp, with or without a wood base from the Sticker Dude (member here). He sells them for about $8-10, I think still.

Hi, that's funny! Actually, I did not want to damage it, so I didn't try before I asked - luckily!
Re the 1961 cancellation mark on your collage: fortuitous: it was the year of my birth ;)
Thanks again! And expect a reply w/ in the next few weeks...
