DK, check out the link to the "George Macinuas and Beyond" show at the top of the IUOMA Fluxus Embassy page. You're in it, and that's where my pants - cut up in your honor - went. I was trying to explain to you about that show, and you're in it. DVS
DK, it's the Maciunas show that Keith Bukkholtz curated in, I think, Lithuania. The Fluxfest in Chicago was different. Or if my pants ended up in Chicago, I would like to know.
It's a textile show. What do I know about textile art? And the deadline was approaching. So I used what was handy. I thought I could continue to ride on your coattails. It's working. Otherwise, a futile and useless gesture devoid of significance.
Added and then sent the trashpo add+pass to Georgia, in case you're keeping track. I still don't know the general "rules" of add+pass, if there are any, but I do my thing and then pass them. Too late for me to learn how to do it right if that's wrong, haha.
Diane, your pinky-purple postcard arrived today. Thank you! Is this how you found it, or was this the result of things lying around the studio? All those random phone numbers make me wonder who those people are, and why their numbers are and their connection to the writer.
A SIX PACK HOLDER, wow I haven't seen one of those in years. Funny how this little bit of trash can make one so happy. Those six pack holders brought back some good memories... if I could only remember them! SEWING, is there no end to your talent. Lucky for me, I now know what to do with all those "Holy" socks in my sock drawer. Watchout!
Yes, I see how one person's trash could be another's treasure. So how could we hunt down some of those old pull ring tabs?
Thank you again, This piece is wonderful, and the smile is still on my face.
Thank you for your piece of cardboard trashpo mail art. I happened to go to my PO Box just as my friendly postal worker was filling the boxes. He expressed great amusement that these crazy white people would send an ordinary piece of cardboard in the mail. I think you made his day. Here's a pic of him. Thanks for making my day as well.
Thanks Diane, but sadly IUOMA will only allow me to load the top half of the photo, and it just doesn't work like that -- and i'm not smart enough to work out how to load the rest of it.
Bon weekend, Val who remains a Moby Dick whale for now
GOTIJ your cardboard piece but the Rain Goddess decided to have a little fun with it, so I am not sure if it is in its original state or not! But it's great anyway - THANKS!!
hey Diane :-) - nice to hear from you. YES! I did notice - blog catching this week - I have a breather! Hope one did not get lost - BUT it will arrive on the day it is meant to arrive - not a minute sooner :-) - so weird that that you're entering winter while our days are getting longer, brighter and hotter - o - except for today - BUT - "there will be days like this" :-) X
You're very welcome, your majesty. Man, it took long enough to get there. I mailed it almost a week ago! You and I usually have luck with the two-day thing.
Hi DK, glad the trashpo arrived...it is on a Greek box of mashed potatoes! Greeks do a good job mashing up things...but we will have a great weekend now that the vote of confidence passed in the Parliament tonight...with a few extra votes above the majority even. That's a Greek Democracy for ya!
Diane, I know how you must feel. But in this Trashpo craze, I am taking advantage of my connection to DK memorabilia. You know my source, who does not want to be identified. What I'm really after is the first "chunk-o-skunk" that he claims he has and will change our understanding of Trashpo as we know it.
I just love the whole TRASHPO thing. I'm glad you get my twisted sense of humor. More coming this week. I've been dealing with a sick husband. How dare he interfere!
Triple wow, my own low-budget certificate, you are too much...no, just right. You'll love this: the part you painted over stuck to itself so there's genuine trashiness right in the center. But everything is there. My head is bowed. And trashy trashbook, plus either horoscope or fortune cookie, what more can a person ask for. Thank you, Diane!!
Diane, you set the bar (high) in the trashpo world and that bar keeps me focused and inspired. :) today, a woman I hardly know gave me a bag of rubber stamps. Probably 50+. Most of these are cheesy but a handful are little treasures. Look for crazed monkeys coming your way at a later date.
I also sent you out a package of some interesting reading material, after your done, feel free to pass on or cut up for trashpo! In Trash We Trust! Neil
DK! Thank you for your envelope, wow, two pieces for me, how lucky me, thank you! They are great! Sooner or later I WILL have to make a trashbook! If I only make ONE trashbook in my entire life it will be for the Queen. If it is ever going to happen :-)))
Thank you again (and, oh, never mind blogging, it's perfectly fine)
Ones that don't include 'Staying out all night and howling so that all the neighbours are woken up', 'Fighting with the ginger tom that lives a street away', 'Refusing to use the cat litter tray' , 'Stealing Val's chair when he goes to make a cup of tea', 'Getting under Val's paper when he is reading it, and then destroying it when Val tries to reclaim it', etc.
I just got your postcard from the mail box . I love it. The tones and composition is so nice too look at. I even smelled it, is that normal. It says fish - 10 puonds asnd i was trying to find out if it was a recent visit to the market, but not necessary. Ok, top secret, i love the smell of this kind of card stock. It never goes away. Thanks a lot Trashpo Diva, your fan Roberto (PIRO).
Diane, received your wonderful TrashPo booklet....so sorry it's taken me a while to respond; I've brought in a Foster Pup on Saturday and the rest of my brood has come down with some virus that has spread fast through the whole group - so three sick dogs and a newbie to contend with....whew!!! I'll be glad when everyone is well again....
Thank you so much and will post on the group site soon...

Thank you, I look forward to seeing it. There is something today for you on the Erni blog. Anyway, I had to put your name in to make it complete.

Bonjour again!
More on the Thought Policeman....
Would you mind if I used it as my IUOMA photo?
You have a heart and currently I have a whale (Moby Dick, by Herman Melville, which gets me to Val Herman).
i could be a Thoughtman for a while perhaps?

Who says...
