Sooooo happy that your Post Office Stories arrived. I was beginning to worry, as mail to France and Germany usually takes only 2 days. Whew! They are filled with YOUR creative and sensitive writings, I just glued a few pics, etc. 'Glad you like 'em! I had to make them, but really delayed...they should have been done before the summer even. Thank you for befriending ;-)

We are dead on with each other. I imagine that we send things and they meet somewhere in a mail...center, or something along the way. Got one from you today. I really like this one. Tomorrow I'm going to create a bunch of new stuff. Gonna be a great day.

I'm glad that you liked the card! I'm getting geared up for another trip to New York (in October) so it's very much on my mind.

Regarding the Chelsea Hotel: many famous artists, musicians, and writers lived and worked there, including Thomas Wolfe, Dylan Thomas, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen, Arthur Miller, Mark Twain, and a number of people who were associated with Andy Warhol's Factory. When we stayed there in 2009, the hotel was open to tourists as well as being a residential hotel. Alas, I've heard that it's no longer possible to rent rooms by the night, so I'm glad that I got the chance to do so.

I've begun working on my own fine card for the Pfyn mail art call. I've printed the front of the postcard and there will be stickers!

I'm sure we will do better on the wine when you are around.  Our vendanges starts this week, so yours must be soon as well.   What? You never hear that Paris has it's our vineyard?  Well it does and it is prefectly bottled with plastic corks and lovely label and ............. all sent to the United States.  No one here will drink it. But it is a good time out none the less.

Happy you enjoyed Kat's & mine joint venture card.  However, I think I did only the white bits.

Great to hear from you! To answer your questions a) I, Sarah am the one who has been making the mail art since beginning. Nick, my husband has been my sounding board and "creative director" but other than that he has yet to begin making his own pieces. He's a fantastic musician and sketcher so I'm trying to help him find the time as best I can. b) Jon Foster is our close friend, and YES he's a member of IUOMA. He has recommend we befriend you as soon as we joined, saying that you were pretty amazing and talented. :)
Hope that answers your questions and helps you understand our work a little better. We're so excited the part of the IUOMA family and begin making more and more pieces to mail all over the world. That was quick, happy to know that No.311 arrived in Sigean,Val. By Dec.1, I shall have completed 365 cards for the project. If you go to the group "Mail art 365" you will see how all those participating have their mail art posted on a blog. When i get to #365.....I shall be very, very happy and give a sigh of "mission accomplished"! 

Me liked the chocolates from this little shop in Rouen, yummy, hope you liked the 'aroma'!

I like the card very much..very, very funny!

I am a bit worried about my card, or two (another one in the mail to you today)...however it is big strike day or two, so maybe no Greek postal services. And then again, when I sent a postcard from London on Sept.28, it arrived October 17 in Greece!with oh great speed of 36-hour delivery to Germany or France. Why is that?

Bonjour Moby Dick! that is a-whale-of-a-pic you have here! 'Glad your post office stories are being loved! It was a joy to make the little boekie, your writing inspires! I see that you in southern France and in northern Italy really got hit by a deluge of rain? Floods and mudslides, ugly. We are fortunate to have a warm system stopping that ugly storm front from coming to Greece, so it is like summer these days, and they are perfect for this Greek holiday weekend.

 I did get your message about the "thought" mail art...will be sending you some of kind soon ;-) Thank you for de-friending me so I avoid getting all the replies...so we shall be friends again.xx
