the idea is social commentary on celebrity-obsession in society that permeates everything. there's always an evil manager. & you r always a mailart star 2 me ;)
DK - Dark wall steals everything. "You owe it to the people" is a line said by a music manager in "Have A Cigar" by Pink Floyd. Stubbs, well, pigs have feelings too.
We're just knocked out. We heard about the sell-out. You gotta get an album out. You owe it to the people. We're so happy we can hardly count. Everybody else is just green, Have you seen the chart? It's a hell of a start, It could be made into a monster If we all pull together as a team.
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy? We call it Riding the Gravy Train.
DK, I think it works both way with Stubbs. I know he and Ramone were trying to translate their book about you from Spanish into English. They've taken a break and are raising some cash as migrant fruit pickers. Don't know much else. I'm sure his feeling that you ruined his life is a phase he must pass through in the grieving process.
Very smart to put some in savings. Otherwise you might have wasted all that dough on god knows how much new trash. But oh, the things you do with used (or is it "previously owned") trash! I LOVE your trashpo work; and probably your other work too, but my head gets turned by the trash. Appreciate your looking at my site. I finally made one after years and years of procrastination, and then what happens? About three days later I stumble upon IUOMA, and the site is left lonely, poor thing, but it can't be helped.
Out of trash! Do you live in one of those biosphere domes where they compost everything or what? The main item collaged onto the piece you got from me was found trash, by the way. My husband found it and actually picked it up and presented it to me; every now and then he does something really right. Well, trash could be "pre-loved," now that you mention it; it could have been thrown away by someone other than the loving owner, as sometimes happens to me. Yah, I was in the funky antiques business for 12 years, though never sold on ebay. I didn't have a scanner for a long time. Among the countless items I could never get rid of since closing my shop, the other day I found certain stuff I was afraid I had sold -- was very excited -- have taken pictures and will blog about it -- because it's mail-art material.
p.s. If you ever want to try setting something up on wordpress, I'd be glad to help long-distance if I can. It drove me crazy for a few days, trying to figure it out, and then it all fell into place.

amanda was pretty creeped out by the chunk o skunk. ;-D
i wasn't too surprised. i was more surprised by the sewn up tamale bag!
i was trying to figure out how / if i should open it!!!
your MTV channel is in the mail, tuned to the super hero fan club reality show.
DK, Great blog this AM by DVS. Your book is awesome amd now I feel really bad that I dogged you about doing another. You must feel drained! Just kidding.... I DO not feel bad and want to do a colab with you soon.
Your teriffic card arrived today AND with feet intact! Good mail Karma, my friend. The PO did rip a little paper off of the edge, but you know I love that raw and gritty look! They left the important part, the feet that were carried off of the oage, intact! Love it! Now I must try it out and get that blood flowing to my brain.
Oh, no, you already have it! I am being careful not to overwhelm busy veterans, so there isn't another on its way at this moment. Yes, wordpress is free, although they have "upgrades," and one is "$30 a year if you don't want our discreet ads to appear occasionally on your site when new people look at it." Horrors! That's in the small print, and one day a person on a mutual collage list wrote to me, "How do you like the ads on your site?" I was sending wordpress thirty bucks within ten seconds. It's the only upgrade necessary, though.
Jul 26, 2011
you can also try blogger.
if you do ads, you get paid for them.
you can also do no ads, and everything is free.
also, google is very proactive when it comes to users privacy & rights.
SH, with blogger, isn't it more complicated, e.g., you have to use a third-party photo stasher like Flickr? And other stuff but I forget what now.
Jul 26, 2011
all the google stuff pretty much connects together.
picasa works quite nicely & easily with blogger.
they have a limited amount of "high quality" storage,
but unless you need to post photos with HUGE resolutions it shouldn't make a difference.
(and even then - you can post those elsewhere - like i do with zombiesemics here)
as i said, google is very proactive as far as user rights go,
and i also don't think we need to worry about google going anywhere anytime soon.
i'm actually waiting myself for google to get together something decent for social networking so i can jump in that boat, as i am currently staying out since facebook has (and probably will always have) serious issues with privacy.
i'd like to think of myself as fairly techno-conscious;
Ah, so you do remember me begging! Ha, ha! One day you will stop torturing me and join me in a join venture. I do adore your asemic pages! They came our great.

about the blog-
if you ever need help with setting up a blog, i's fairly easy, especially if using blogger
you just need a google account and click a couple of things.
if you want to try, i'll certainly help if you like.
i don't think i'm a good enough sculptor for that site.
and anyways, it would get expensive buying all those LA-Z-BOYs and
poundages of processed cane.
i'll keep it in mind though.
