Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
After reading 'The Crying of Lot 49' by Thomas Pynchon, I became interested in mailart. A significant part of the plot involves W.A.S.T.E. , an underground postal organisation. It involves forged stamps, mail collection via waste bins and much more.
This page is part of 'Pynchon In Public Day' which is planned for 8th May 2013. We invite any mail-art that feature Post horns, W.A.S.T.E. insignia, faux stamps, unofficial postal routes, reading Pynchon in public.
