Thank you, Susanne, I plan on hand carrying my non-USA cards to the PO. Maybe make one trip a week and mail them all at the same time. The UK cards seem to have just vanished. I did scan them, but I am so disappointeed because they were all made from the same paper group and it's all gone now. I need to handpaint some more soon and will use some of the same colors. Two went to the US and they went through the system just fine. Maybe they will show up. Anita gave me a lot of good advice regarding mailing.
I'll have your address and get something off to you soon. Sorry for the slow response. I didn't realize this thread was here and there seem to be so many places to check in. Surely, I will become accustomed to the site soon.
Hi Susanne, I think I understood what you said. No problems. I am hand carrying a bunch of mail to the PO tomorrow and taking it inside, to the clerk. I want to make sure my mail gets to Europe and the UK. Sending out a bunch to most of the painting group then. I'll give everyone that is in this batch a shut, after it's on the way. I'll tell you now, you have a piece in the lot! Hope you like it. I was flattered by your previous comment about my work.
Susanne, As another "southern belle", I understand what you mean! The PO accepted my overseas mail without any issues. Just hope it makes it there; intact. I believe there is beauty in imperfection. PO also told me I shoild,'t have any trouble leaving for the postman to pick up. We will see.
Not to worry, Susanne. Yours went out the other day when I did a big mailing to Europe. I think it was Thursday, so it will interesting to see how long it takes to arrive. PO said there wasn't any reason I couln't leave the mail out for my carrier in the future.
Oh yes! We know it well! Now a location for Meiningers, it had once been my old favorite, Art Hardware. I became well known there and enjoyed the atmosphere. Sadly, they sold and we now have the chain store (an off shoot of the big one in Denver--a beautiful store!!!!).
I can't tell you how touched I was to receive your sweet message. I've been so busy with work that I haven't had the chance to explore this site and meet what appears to be a great group of people. I saw on your profile that you're in Stuttgart -- I was born in Heidelberg. My mother is German and my dad is American. Spent a lot of time back and forth as a child visiting my grandparents in Selb and all my aunts, uncles, cousins. I have wonderful memories of their old world lifestyle that I've carried on in my own life, which is probably why I live in New York City. Best wishes!
So glad you liked everything. It really isn't finished, and isn't likely to be for some while. we may have another technical issue. Our scanner's operation, for example. It was not functioning well enough. Which means all our past work is to be sorted through and probably re-scanned, then readied for print via a Download function. Our printables haven't passed muster here for some while. Work, work, and still MORE blessed Work!
Hi Susanne, Yes it arrived the other day and although I noted it's arrival, I wasn't able to scan it until today. I love everything about it! There is a photo and a note on my little blog about it. Thank you! Sue
