Right on, glad you got the card and can't wait to see what you send.
  • Jen Staggs

Glad you like it! Not vintage fabric, but a reprint of an old print (possibly from a flour sack.) I drive to Midlothian and Waxahachie to find quilting fabrics that look old- maybe I should head to McKinney next!

    Hi Fifi,
It did snow here quite a bit - right up to Thanksgiving and now it is just raining. The snow will be back though, I am sure. Yeah, mail art has to be fun or forget it. Thanks for the friendship. See ya in the mail, Test

Thank you Marcia for your beautiful artwork! Im wondering about how do you know the name of my hometown in greek letters?
  • Jen Staggs

Visited Quilt Asylum today and left with WAY too much stuff. I like the really weird, funky things and they had lots. I've just started making clothing besides boxers and pj pants- I made a really cool flow-y white skirt that was nice. Oh and a pair of pants that were a crime against nature. Might start buying patterns after that catastrophe.
  • Jen Staggs

I went there looking for more 1950s ladies prints and instead found hunky shirtless firemen prints! They look straight out of a calendar, all muscely and posing! I'll have to invent a new type of mail art with them as the main subject. They are just too funny not to!
  • jon foster

Got you're work today, thanks so much. Working on some stuff this weekend that will go out soon.
  • Jen Staggs

YAY! Fabric art from you!  SO amazing.  I really dig this art card- I must learn how you used acrylic gel- did you dip the whole fabric piece in it and place it? Or just lay it down like with regular glue?  It made such a cool, tough surface on the fabric that the bird stamp is very easily read.  Did you carve that too?  You are so multi-talented!

That's amazing about the motel...love continuity like that...
