Hey Tania, saw your comment on the card that Televisionslikenow received from one of my young pupils from the academy. We are doing a little mail-art prject to introduce them what's the meaning of this art. I still doensn't have anyone from Bosnia (still carry that part of europe in my heart after my 'balkantour on bike') and I wander if you would like to participate. READ EVERYTHING ABOUT IT HERE!You are sooo welcome Tania, let me know!

Please don't let Simba get to the keyboard again! If he barks I will listen!!

I finally found what I was looking for--and my ego somewhat disappointed that I don't get to be founder of this movement--Haptic Poetry. It's like vispo but the point is that you can actually feel it as well. (you know I have a penchant for feeling art-perhaps I was blind in a past life) and I'm wondering if you know much about or have been involved with haptic poetry--happo?--in any capacity. cheers.
  • yves maraux

    "quoted from...."
    let's talk about !
  • Bifidus Jones

yeah, wondering where you been cuz every time I see those colors I feel like I'm getting zapped by a taser. Luckily I have haptic poetry to explore and am glad you think it's interesting too. I'm already playing around with the idea that words can be felt. If I create a Happo group at this site, would you could you be my first sign-up?
  • Bifidus Jones

thanks--btw, your copy of my section of the crimson giant is in the mail. cheers

seems like there should be a eulogy for Tania/ya--i'll see what I can come up with but dang! you're right, a person can't make up all the HAPPENINGS going on here. can't tell you how much I appreciate having people like you to acknowledge it/appreciate it no matter how fleeting it feels. can't accuse us of having sedentary minds NO SIRREE. and I've been thinking about the goal of the haptic poetry group should we decide to create one: seems like once we create it, it may well very be viewed as a provider of shape to shifting singularities--temporary shelter where nomadic poets can stop by before moving on again?
  • Bifidus Jones

Haptic creations from our members is a definite goal as well as providing a history of the movement. And I don't have a grasp of it myself since I just found it a few days ago. There's even people out there doing haptic allegory stuff--does that mean they're already way past this stuff? The challenge will be to find a balance that inspires iuoma artists. If explanations are too vague, people won't make the attempt while being too specific constricts creativity. I'll be DIGGING into this subject more, processing it, absorbing it for awhile. thanks for being enthusiastic about this...

Hey, found your message about the card of a kid of my school...on the profile of Liketelevisionsnow...you want to join this little project? Let me know urgently!

    hello hello hello hello
  • Bifidus Jones

Wanted to let you know i received your crimson giant pages with holes and trash bag twists--and no, i'll never give the green one back. for protocol reasons i'll wait till Cheryl receives her pages, posts them, and then add my comments. it's been a long weekend what with Obama in MN and all. He stopped by the house here on Lincoln Ave where I handed him a Stella Artois and made my pitch about us needing his support to free the monkeys. He wrote something down on a piece of paper, folded it, and said I wasn't to look at it but mail it straight to you.

The urinal in the alley was calling my name in such a way I got the impression I better not ignore it, but listen. there's more than haptics. do you know anything about Letterist International collective? supposedly it was the french counter-part to the American Beat Generation. think cinema without images. It makes the urinal as art seem like nothing at all.
  • Marie Wintzer

Sloan! I got your Giant contribution too, thank you! Just like Bifidus, I'll wait until Cheryl got it and posted it before putting it up on my blog.
Never failing to make me smile!
