I like communication, art, paper, painting and concepts. The ideal combination for doing Mail-Art. Worked with rubberstamps as a child and started sending out letters as soon as I could write. Discovered that it was called mail-art in 1980. Have been discovering ever since and in the last years also promoting this free cultural exchange.

Thank you Ruud! I have not been at all very active as mail artist, but really I support the active by my ful heart. I was introduced to the idea of mail art around 2001 by Peter R. Meyer that for a while was a very active mail artist himself, with a focuse on mail art with cassettes. Me too are an sound artist and this is still my focus but Yeah!... i want to start this mail art active career of mine now! Give me some hints, on where to send at... :) Yours, Björn
Thanks Ruud! Sorry to say That peter passed away 3 years ago, maybe you didnt know. He got a cancer that was spread very fast and not possible to cure. Anyway, I am forever thankful to getting to know him and the ideas he was spreading around. Yours, Björn
Hi Ruud,
I'm just curious about the new photo display format. How did that come about? I'm not sure I like it (but if it's there by popular demand, I'll go with the flow) Example: If you add 2 photos just after I go to bed and 3 hours later someone else adds 6 and 25 people comment, by the time I check the next day, your photos are gone, I've missed them. Of course I could always go check the photo section, but I know myself, I won't do this on a regular basis. The other way we had the option to pause on a photo we liked. Just a thought.
Regards ,
Peter

I haven't posted my thesis online because while I completed it well enough for them to let me graduate, it needs quite a bit more work before I'll be happy with it.
hello ruud, and thank you for the greeting! i just discovered this site this morning. i am pretty slow with computers, but am pleased to be part of this site.
Dear Ruud, We exchanged some mail in the early '90's and I still have everything you sent to me. I was very active for quite a few years and saved many of the cards and letters.
I put together a "mail art show" for a small art gallery. This past year, I helped organize a show for altered books and also included a few framed pieces with selections of old cards to show examples of mail art.
It is nice to find this group and see that mail art is alive and well.
Hello Ruud... I was looking through some old stuff of mine and found a neat mail art document called, "Myth America." It was from 1991. I entered as "Jennifer Kosharek" and noticed you were in the booklet too.
Dear Ruud,
My late friend Carlo Pittore always spoke highly of you and always suggested contact. Recents years have left me doing less mail activity, had a bad taste of others egos trying to glorify the activity for personal means and desires. I think I did send you something along time ago and look forward to a report with you.
