Before anyone else submits something as extensive as Diane did, I am voting for her submission even over any I myself might have come up with in the next 2 to 427 hours. It can't be beat.

If I am lucky enough to win, there is no question that I would choose the "private facebook message with real intimate details about David's private life", although I think his admission of his aversion to LOL is a definate start. I REALLY need this prize!!

I have Davids theory on chaos. Its too dark to snap and the flashbulb will startle the ox. And David may go flying again.  In any event its a winner, and if you can all hold on until the sun leaves you and travels here, I'll show you tomorrow - thank you David - such GENTLE chaos :-)XX

Thanks everyone...we're in Brugge today which I probably could have skipped but Patti wanted to see it. Heading home in a few days..And yes, we did meet up with Dean in Paris. He and his wife very graciously met us and led us on a secret agent tour of the Ministry of Finance. More on that later as well...Bon jour to all my IUOMA friends.

KDJ, The Smithsonian called and they're interested in the archives but only if it comes with a Dave Diorama...Can you work something up? You should know they have strict guidelines as in 1) there must be a painting of Daves grazing in the background, 2) sex acts may be inferred as long as they take place behind a rock outcropping, and probably the most difficult: 3) the figure must appear to be semi-content. Kick around that wacky brain of yours and let me know. I have to have the power point presentation ready by August 8th.

I'll see what I can do but you know how bureaucracies are. Someone needs to develop a backlog app. I think I'll do that this afternoon.

I know Angie-I wondered the same thing. It would seem unlike David to leave something out unintentionally. I hope there is more to the spleen=shaped rock story-I will never view an oblong rock the same way again

Any  of you literary brainiacs know what  a literary reduction is? My son needs to do one and the instructions are about as easy to understand as assemble it yourself furniture.  some kind of free form, stream of consciousness synopsis spreadsheet-only completely not???

Yah, a literary reduction is losing weight while reading Chaucer. (Honest, if i remembered i'd tell you!)

I've had fig reductions but not Chaucerian reductions. EB White once reduced a Hemingway novel to a single word: Bang. And someone else (anonymous) reduced Dave Barry's oeuvre to Booger. Who's getting reduced, Diane? Maybe I can lend a hand though I am a bit drunk at the moment. This will pass.

He has to reduce Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom. I think some of these English teachers are more interested in bending students to their will than actually instilling a love of literature.  I don't drink, but I probably should.
