ADD & PASS

I have a bunch of Add&Pass ready to mail but have to wait for the snow plows to mail them. 

The street has over a foot of snow and deep icey rutts that make driving a nightmare.

I have a question regarding one of the Add N' Pass that I recently received from Fast Eyes.... I want to "hank" Fast Eyes for pointing out that the Add N' Pass was started in 2014 (Four Years Ago). The Add N' Pass is NOW complete. I was going to send it to the Initiator" (Gisele Marsaglia)

But I checked for her name here in  the group 

and on the main page and couldn't find it. So I guess, she is no longer a member of IUOMA.

What do I do now?

Why do Add N' Passes get held up for so long once they are received?

So true, jimmyconnors. What could be the rush? Seems like a new standard in mail art. Really new. It will be an odd rule if it becomes one. Pressure is hardly the point, and never was. 

Nancy it is not "rush nor pressure". But something so simple as an Add N Pass shouldn't take so much time to send along. In this case 4 years.

Everyone has their own opinion, I guess.

We should add a "Banned List" in this group's discussion thread for people who gave been reported for "Offenses Against the Add & Pass" like not conforming to deadlines, using too much or little space (doncha hate people who hog the space) or people you refuse to work with because they annoy you (increasingly my fave).

If people accrue enough complaints, remove them from IUOMA. Someone wanted a very strict membership policy once (tried to gave me removed in fact!), Maybe it's time to revisit.

Don't know why I'm substituting gave for have.

I would propose if you receive an A&P you must spend a MINIMUM OF FOUR YEARS working on it before you can mail it.

This will ensure quality and extend the tradition.

Haha DVS......I just don't like rules...butt seriously some of those dates 4 years ago are photo copies going around a second time.

I think it's a bad sign when someone can "pull the plug" on a free-flowing conversation that reveals multiple points of view.

If not for personal burnout, I'd start an S+K group (subtract+keep), which goes on in life and mail art too.

That's the beauty of it all. Anything is possible.

Norma.....just ignore us.....you did not stir the bee hive....haha....

you will find that there are many reasons people cannot get to the APs right away. I myself am still working on ones I have gotten last year....sometimes I am swamped with these....I make the decision to work on my outgoing art projects and leave the APs to a slower time.....I do not feel bad or guilty about this decision....

My current reason for not sending out my APs as promptly as before is mostly due to the fact that my 2 year old grandson has been visiting and sometimes he likes to help "too much". :)
