'tis a bloomin' nice party here at the CAFE!
Thanks for you well wishes Rod, Chantal, and all here!
Help yourselves to the choco cake...
maybe we need some champagne to celebrate
that snow blizzard moving out-to-sea?
But for Judy and all in-the-snow, how about some
hot tea? hot chocolate? Stay warm!
Judy is at work because her co-worker couldn't get in and has no power at home. Judy can't take anything stronger that hot chocolate until she gets home, oh boo. It is a beautiful sunny day lots of reflections from all the snow.
Judy, Judy, Judy...for sun reflection on snow:
sun goggles (or that googles?) needed.
Also, a bobcat will help to get home from work.
Unless ya got a skateboard or skis to do the
"slopes" on Pennsylvania Avenue :-)
(ok, ok, enough...
I'm bringing more hot chocolate soon)
Here's some hot chocolate before heading home?
Or once ya awll are cozy and warm at home...
a few others stopped by for the party here at the CAFE:
Charles and sinclair and Ashton and (OMG!) Garth.
Yep, tis their birthday today, too.
what can Isay: :-)
Charles Dickens Feb. 7, 1812/ Sinclair Lewis, 1885/
Garth Brooks,1962 and Ashton Kutchen,1978.
Wow..thank you Alfonso, even the volcano in Italy had snow!
May the winds blow north and not east to Greece!
Seems snow is falling in many unusal places this winter.
And now have some of those tasting chocolate waffer sweets...
petal by petal, Judy...let them melt in your mouth. Yummy!
Oh when the Saints go marching in! :-) That's nice!
Look at those poor mailboxes, Judy! 'Guess my mailart-heARTs will be a bit delayed arriving? (Air mail not flying into D.C and all that..sob) Take care sweetie.
And we shall not take down the birthday decorations here at the CAFE...me sees that someone will be having a birthday tomorrow, eh, Susan? :-)
(of course...another "Acquarius" in the group!)
Those are newspapers boxes, you get those free. I got the hearts last week thank you very much I thought I sent you an e-mail thank you note, oh well age I can't remember always. My B'day was 1-3, 1947

Dynamic stuff coming your way from Suzlee, Felipe. Thanks for posting this and it is a good reminder that I have yet to send you an art card or two, and to Suzlee's mail art call, too! Something coming your way soon, good friend!
Judy, girl, you had a birthday 1.3. ? That means January 3rd? ( For in Greece, it could be March 1st! Second number in dates is the month) Ah, come on, we didn't see any announcement!
Okay, so we celebrate at the Cafe today:
Happy birthday to Judy!
XRONIA POLLA!
Ladies, I seem to have a lot of difficulty with this site. My date is January 31. Somehow at my end when I type in it flips such as cutting K from katerina and my photo is in the middle of my sentence. I do not know why this happens.
Happy birthday to all you ladies... with a birthday... can I have another piece of cake please??? Thanks for the hearts Kate, you touched mine. I went for a walk yesterday with camera but there is not much sign of Spring yet... It is way under freezing here with a biting wind and now we are expecting three days of snow... sigh...
We're getting more too Rod, tomorrow to Wednesday 14-18 inches and it is windy and cold too. I wish it was spring. Really I would love to walk across the street without having to step over snow mounds and ruts.
Oh man! I could wrap myself around those cakes with ultimate pleasure Alfonso.
Judy, you would really need to start worrying when Polar bears come knocking on your door asking to borrow your thermals!
I am already worring we are all going to turn into snowmen and snow women. A plow nearly sloshed me with all the yuchy mush. Gray snow woman cometh forth.
Anybody else just get spammed by a new member. She left a comment that had nothing to do with mail art but instead a link to ink.bz - a search turned up her name on a lot of ning boards that appear to have no relation to each other. Just curious.
Chantal - thank you. caught me by surprise, but they probably work in teams joining and spamming boards - just hadn't seen it on any of the ning writing boards I belong to. I'll ignore them in the future.
I get the idea that spammers are on overtime at the moment as the net has slowed to almost snail-mail pace today. My computer has been trying to download the virus checker update all day and constantly gets dumped before completion.
Yes, I noticed that here at IUOMA I had trouble getting on...also some of the photos are not uploading. I am sure that Ruud is working on it and getting rid of any spammers sabbotaging our fun place.
Well, just ignore or delete any unknown names and messages...
and so let's dance! OPA!
'Twas a nice birthday party...though Rod and Susan, something was spiked in your drinks? Ya lookin' a bit strange over at "self-portraits" LOL!
time to say "good night"...Kalinyxta!
"Nothing to Excess" ;-)
Come join us, howver, for a bit of ouzo and mezedes
at the "Greek embassy"!
(Will keep ya warm with all that new snow)
See ya gals!
We have a blizzard here, snow and 40-50 mph wind. I managed to get into the office although I was nearly blown into the building wall by the wind and you can't see. Wonderful photo.
Kate, the news just said that Greece is on strike... is that for more sunshine? Or are you jealous of Judy's snow scapes.?.. You can't see the walls on Kate's photo either!
Naw, just ye ol' farmers are "on strike"...
actually tis the season of no sowin', no plowin', no weedin', no pickin'...
so they would normally be just-a-sittin' in the cafe with their komboloi
(don't see nerry a one Greek farmer here in the CAFE!).
But, like their friends in France (lower photo), they parked
their tractors on the highways and are a-postestin' (upper photo)...
