I agree with Katerina, Rosa’s contribution to Asemics 5 are stunning! Silenced me for one hour or so> Made this during the weekend and called it Looking into the sun asemics, particular is that it was painted on yellow cardboard paper.

  • Guido Vermeulen

    Eco Asemics rule!

  • De Villo Sloan

You have a great eye, Guido. No one has posted any eco-asemics in a while: "writ in stone."

  • Neil Gordon

Guido, there's always a place in my heart for Eco Asemics! Very Wabi-Sabi! Nice!!!

  • Marcela Peral

    eECO ASEMIC?

Hello here again :-) - I am TRYING to tie up this project - I think some of you did not receive Maiska van den Heuvels asemics. It is a match box filled with paper slithers, each hand done. I have taken these two photographs so that you can have a record - for those of you who don't.  Asemics # 5 - Mary Ann and Yvonne - any movement on your asemics? I think by now you would have received everyone's copies? I am hoping to put these on exhibition - so PLEASE!!!

Received totally FAB eco-asemics from Nancy Bell Scott (Maine, USA). Looks like a piece of birch bark:

Hi Katerina - It probably says LOX, which is smoked salmon!  I had some for lunch with Cathy for a Valentine's Day treat.

    Cheers!

Just bought a new book on the frottages by Henri Michaux (exhibitions in Toulouse and Geneva), great stuff!! Here is one image (bilingual catalogue French/ English)

  • De Villo Sloan

Wow, Guido. Michaux did frottage, Like David Chirot. This is a revelation. Thanks for sharing.

That's a fabulous piece by Lindall. I love her work.

  • Nancy Bell Scott

A Lindall favorite from a few months ago:

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Isn't it a beaut? My scanner won't show the light color properly--it's a light green that's slightly luminous. Better than the white you see here. Perfect.

    Good to see you, KDJ!

  • Guido Vermeulen

The pilgrimage of poetry starts when language disappears (small painted envelope)

  • Guido Vermeulen

Nancy’s piece = birch bark. Similar example received from Marilyn Dammann in 1998 (personal delivery mail from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Brussels, imagine that!)

  • Guido Vermeulen

UGH, at least there is an asemic monkey dancing on my head!

    Small painted envelope

  • Guido Vermeulen

Got this from Susan Mc Allister: golden asemics

  • Nancy Bell Scott

That one isn't my birch bark, Katerina--it's in photos somewhere--but Guido had mentioned receiving the one he posted below last century. (Don't you love saying that.)

I'm glad you posted Lindall's to you, it's fabulous!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

That is a beautiful piece from Susan McAllister that you got Guido! Wow!

And Nancy, would a tiny piece of birch bark mail art make it to Greece, ya think ?

I bet "wood" products would not make the Greek postal clerk too happy...I wonder if? :-)

  • Nancy Bell Scott

We shall give it a shot, Kat. ~

  • Ptrzia (TICTAC)

i'd like to show you what a received from Fabrice Riviere, Belgium...not a iuoma member.

it made my brain race...it's a wonderful two-piece of poetry first of all, then it has the many readings that touch various forms of visual poetry..haptic,etc.

    connected through a thread...elements.

  • jasper llee

Thank you all for your kind and inspiring words!  Sometimes my art feels so 'forced' but these pieces have really just flowed (or is that flown!) out of me.

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

The Elements piece is very interesting indeed...and an interesting co-exploration, as it were: I am currently working on a hyper-media/text piece ["web art"] called "Elemental," which is also based upon the Table of the Elements.

A recent asemic flurry in my post box.  Thank you to Karen Champlin & Lindall!

    Karen always delights me.

    From Lindall, a new advventure!

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Love both of these, prettylily--great power in Karen's, great intricacy in Lindall's.
