  • cheryl penn

Beautiful pages from TICTAC  (Germany) :-) - each hand done AGAIN!

  • cheryl penn

From De Villo Sloan (USA) - more great Concrete Poetry - many thanks! X

  • cheryl penn

From Frieder Speck (Germany) - beautiful original prints - and I get to keep the drawing - YES! Definitely on time Frieder :-) XX

  • cheryl penn

Cover for Town Asemics in a Mail Art World - Zine # 4 :-) X

  • Rebecca Guyver

"Gorgeous, gorgeous! Can anyone tell me why two parcels looking about the same mailed at 'exactly the same time'  DO not arrive together? "

  • cheryl penn

Thank you Angie and Rebecca - BUT  sad to report the other pages are  STILL not here :-( X

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

wow, some real beauties (have to admit, I esp. hope the DVS and TicTac are in 3 so I get a copy...%_^)! Great cover for 4 Cheryl! ( btw, did you post the cvr for 3 and I just missed it, or...?)

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

Angie - A5 is 5.907 inches x 8.267 inches. Add .59 inches to one side if you want to leave extra space for binding. These sizes are from photoshop, but I imagine you can just round down a tad to make it easier (5.9 x 8.25)

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

    or simple: 5 x 8!

  • cheryl penn

Claire - you ARE with TICTAC and DVS in Zine 3 :-) - your size was a little large - the binding strip is INCLUDED in the page size - 29.5cm long X 21cm wide - this includes binding. Angie your pages are the right size :-)

    Cover for Zine 3 Claire

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

    A: Cool!

B: damn! guess I read the directions incorrectly - sorry 'bout that Cheryl! :(

    C: Very Cool II/too!

  • cheryl penn

NO problem :-) - I have left some of the pages larger in Zine 2, but now that its collated and bound, they stick out and don't FIT into any envelopes/plastic bags etc, so I am going to have to fold/trim in future X

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

    Thanks!

My 2 cents: Rather than cut & lose any of the image/art, I would just fold the edges that stick out over - like letters to fit in an envelope. (Hmmm, might be rather apropos in this case actually... %_^)

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Is there a deadline for the asemics zine I'm not seeing? Are most pages in already?

  • cheryl penn

I can fold - nothing is cut yet - would you prefer that? No problem. Nancy :-) - hello!  Deadline - October.  IF it is done before the exhibition - fine - if not, it will go on next years exhibition - and besides, I'm now addicted - so just send :-)))! XX

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

Cool - thanks again Cheryl! (Yes I would btw %_^)

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Ok Cheryl, whew, will do, thank you. xxx

  • cheryl penn

Page from Svenja Wahl for Zine 3 - as any thinking person would, Svenja assumes there's a school in the World Town - otherwise how will we pass on Zine information??

  • cheryl penn

From Marcela Peral (Argentina) - Mia Casa in the World :-) XX

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

    ha ha ha!

    beautiful!

  • cheryl penn

I am behind with posting photographs - apologies - it seems to be dark all the time!  I have received wonderful  work from Carina Granlund (Finland), NotHiNg (USA),  Theo Nelson (Canadada) and Harry Lock (South Africa). You know the tune - The sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there'll be sun.... I shall tally-ho in the nearest future and let you know how far we are with Zine 3 - but, we're getting there.  Zine 2 left yesterday and as I did not want to post in the rain, Zine 1 leaves tomorrow - no, I don't know why its the wrong way round :-) X

  • cheryl penn

That was quick Sue - thanks for letting me know - I hope the others arrive as successfully as yours! Pages from Carina Granlund (Finland)

and Harry Lock (South Africa) and Theo Nelson (Canada)

  • cheryl penn

FAB pages on digital canvas from NotHiNg (USA)

  • cheryl penn

Asemic Pages from Katerina - many thanks - these are great! :-)X

  • cheryl penn

A PRESENT from Guido Vermeulen - inside the envelope a poetry book - I'm doing the Afrikaans/Dutch thing :-) - and Zine pages with a warning - once you have been through the mirror and returned, you have left particles of yourself behind in the process.  This third Zine is becoming interesting in terms of the building of a town and the different elements which constitute its building. Please also see http://cherylpenn.com/wpb/

  • cheryl penn

  • Lesley Magwood Fraser

I helped Cheryl  put Zine 1 together, all the pages together in order, it took us about 4 hours, (with a coffee and cake break and a bit of gossip) so for Cheryl to do it on her own is at least 8 hours! what a gal, Cheryl I don't know how you find the energy, but am ever grateful for your motivation and flippin ideas and stuff and stuff and stuff! Yay!

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

That was just great Angie - thanks for sharing! ^_^
