    Hi Cheryl :

Did you send my sample of the Zine ? I understood that if we post a certain number of copies, we will receive one copie of the collection of works...

  • cheryl penn

Cheryl, OK this is comical now! First the translation from A4 to Letter and then back again because I am in the US at the moment, away from my studio using unfamiliar materials and equipment... but eventually rationalised all that. Then, I am terrible at directions and before printing out all of my pages (had done about 1/2 decided to re-read all of your brilliant instructions and realised I was wrong, wrong, wrong so had to reformat all in A5 or B5  12 x 15cm portrait WHATEVER so things are a bit wonky and I feel the heavy hand of the deadline on me and I mistakenly believed I needed four pages or two sets of backs and fronts so in the end I have compromised with 2/4 images for each and making that make sense without the other context....TRICKY. What i want you to know, really, is that I will be posting it all off to you today from the US and it turns out I have two sets of 27, so I hope you can use them both but if you can't no big deal!XX

  • cheryl penn

Rebecca - a double set is just GREAT! It means you will be in two Zines - so NO complaining from me!! Thank you for sending - I find working outside my studio a HUGE challenge - so congrats on achieving what you have! I look forward to the results - decontextualization - MAN! - Always makes for interesting 'reading' - thanks again Rebecca XX

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

Hey Cheryl, my copies went out this morning...nonetheless, being the quintessentially spacey artist that I am, the 25 stuck in my mind w/out the +2, thus I sent 25 not 27... Do you think this will be a big prob, or should I post the other 2? Thanks!

  • Claire (aka Cleo)

[btw, I wld. love it if the pictures you posted were a bit larger...my eyes... It's easy for most to go larger here than it was even 5 years ago as broadband is so prevalent now, but if you have a slow connection it makes sense of course... Just thought I would mention it...] %_^]

  • cheryl penn

Dear Claire - send for all the Zines and then you can see ALL the pages in REAL LIFE:-))!!! I will copy for you - unless they are originals?

    Another re-posted message...

Zines 1 and 2 are full. Assembly will begin middle of August, not end of August as stated in the invitation.  Pages have arrived for Zine 3 too. Many thanks for your overwhelming response - it has been incredible.  Due to the nature of work received, these are going to be high quality Zines and I thank you all for this.  I have also  decided that Zine 4 will be titled  Town Asemics in a Mail Art World. So please bear that in mind if you intend sending for further Zines.  I will send a message to this effect to each member of the group.  Once again, many thanks - enjoy your weekend :-) XX

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)
