Those who are missing letters, I say ; copy, copy, copy...there is a "discussion" for each chapter (for each letter). I copied, printed out...maybe did a bit of "alter-chpter" (on colored paper or color tones). But why wait...sometimes things get LOST in the mail! I have a few copied letters, and they will go nicely in the binding on TUESDAY! Party time!

While waiting for "M" that never arrived,  I copied from the above discussion:

Make copies...its fun and you can be creative! Why not?

And then we are ALL ready for the binding party! Go for it!

  • TIZIANA BARACCHI

If somebody did not receive my X, I can send it again: write me!

    Ciao

  • cheryl penn

Thank you Tiziana and Momkat.  Susanna - it was SUCH a pleasure - photo's for sure!  Helen - I have a spare bedroom :-))) Onword John - thank you. Heather - did you get my message about binding Tuesday? DVS - thank you too - the joys of mail art - and the postal losses - its the way :-)
  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

This has really been an amazing project, Cheryl. Thanks for all your hard work in getting us together! And thanks to Sir Sloan, too! 'Would love to be in Durban on Tuesday..(but I have to file my Greek income taxes ;-( ...sigh.)

It really is special to be part of this "BOOK" with all the other artists, and it is a collection of art work to be treasured! Many thanks to all!

  • TIZIANA BARACCHI

    I still need A K S U.

    Ciao

  • cheryl penn

Samuel would like to know if anyone still needs a Y? Tiziana - U will not be coming from China - you will need to copy it off the discussions - I have posted good images. Please contact the artists directly to request copies.
  • cheryl penn

P.S. LAURIANA!!!  FAB- ulous!!! Looks fantastic - I'd better get cracking!
  • Litsa Spathi / NOBODY

Dear cheryl, you write:"...U will not be coming from China ..."

    Why? What happened to Ejva:nsva?
  • cheryl penn

I dont actually know Litsa - she just stopped communicating after telling me there were problems with Ning in China. She said she could hear us, but not reply, then there was nothing :-( So thats why I told everyone to copy off the discussion. I think she posted them all, just a few did not reach their destination - the perennial problem.
  • Litsa Spathi / NOBODY

Cheryl, my expieriences tell me that sometimes mail artists play several rolls. I know for instance someone living here in Europe and he has anoher identity in the USA and he also sends  mail from the USA.....so maybe is someone living in America with a second identity in China?? and he is now afraid being discovered!, just an idea.

  • cheryl penn

Litsa, I'm aware of all that STUFF - yip. BUT quite frankly, I cant be bothered within the parameters of trying to finish a project with all the games played? In other contexts, all well and good, but for P26, NO, I want this tied up? Thanks for the input :-)
  • Heather Miller

Hi cheryl. yes ! i have sent several replies... i finish school at 2.30 so would be a little late. Also missing quite a few letters and as I am NO GOOD on computer, havent downloaded images of the ones you have supplied. Perhaps I will just come through and watch you guys in action?
  • Samuel Montalvetti

    Hola Hola Hola

Salud!!!!

    Disculpen pero no hablo Ingles

  • Cleveland Wall

I've sent duplicate dream dowsers to Heather and Litsa. Is anyone else missing D?
  • Heather Miller

thank you Cleveland. that is very generous of you. blessings Heather
  • cheryl penn

Thank you Helen - I'm not sure what went on at all? But for sure, I have had other work from Ejva, so she IS a mail artist :-) - I think its a difficult place to be a regular mail artist - thanks for that. Cleveland Wall - thank you for sending two more copies - much appreciated. Heather - of course!!! See you when we see you.

Samuel - I'm going to translate!!!

Two more sleeps until P26 is DONE!!!

  • cheryl penn

P.S. - sorry missed you Angie - for sure, this has been a FABULOUS collaborative effort - I think the results are FAB :-)
  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    Tomorrow...tomorrow...I luv ya tomorrow...

    it's only a day away ;-)

  • cheryl penn

Helen - I use a thick waxed string to bind - thicker than most book binders use - just because I like its chunkiness - the problem with it of course is that the holes in the spine are larger than when using cotton threads - choice is yours - a linen thread, any strong thread - eg sewing machine thread is too thin and breaks. As to binding them individually - usually a 3-hole pamphlet stitch for such small pieces, but I am doing 4 -hole - so dont know if single binding will work?? Use an elastic band at the spine of each just to keep them together before binding.  Yip Momkat - the sun will come out tomorrow :-) Making covers at some stage today - MISSION!!!! To decide WHAT to put on the front :-( so many wonderful choices...
  • Susanna Lakner

I received in the last week Laurence´s lost pages and today arrived Lauriana´s amazing cover. Girls, Boys, my collection is complete too! Thank you all!

Katerina - how did you do that :-)???  Helen - hope you get better soon.  Yes, looking over them all again was really good.  Please dont forget bio information and even a few lines about your contribution - it can go into my inbox - thanks Katerina for yours :-) X
  • Lesley Magwood Fraser

My book is bound and done! So chuffed with it. Thanks so much Cheryl and Lauriana for sharing the binding afternoon with me and reminding me how to do the Coptic binding. I bound the envelopes with the boekies so my book is bigger than C and L's and it stands up longways.

    Front and back covers

I inserted Laurence's seperate pages into clear plastic sleeves which I glued onto the pages as they cant be bound.

    Intro page above

Lauriana's book is definitely the star of the show, she gets Man of the Match! She was well prepared with her pages of acetate sheets full of info about the different boekies, and her stitching is perfect, even though she whizzed ahead of Cheryl and I and was finished binding first!

  • Ptrzia (TICTAC)

    i'm impressed...what a beautiful work!
  • John M. Bennett

I now have a couple extra K books, if anyone needs one.  Let me know.
