When I was just a little sprout in Rochester, NY usa, we had a Siamese male named Paiwacket[sp?] after Kim Novak's familiar in "Bell, Book and Candle" and he was very loving and lovable. He DID like to walk with you and between y'r feet so he'd trip you if you weren't mindful. And my Dad used to tease him by holding his open hand above Pai's face whereupon Pai would rear up and wrap his paws around my Dad's wrist and bite him usually right in the web between thumb and forefinger. Sigh! Those were the days.

After Pai passed and I went off to college, the family obtained another Siamese, this one christened "Honey Three" by my Mom who had two other family members still in the house, my Dad and my Brother. I only associated with Honey Three while home on holidays and Summers.

Siamese kit kats can be strange creatures, Ficus! loving...or...

Val has a Siamese in Sigean, France, named "Trouble",

I'm also sorry to hear the news about Val's Trouble. My own cat passed away about a month ago.

Andrew and I went to our local shelter today to adopt a new little cat. Her name is Vera and she has the funniest squeaky voice! I'll be introducing her here soon. She needs to settle down a little bit so that I can take a good picture.

Meet Vera! She joined our household on Thursday, and she's getting settled in enough for me to take some photos.

She's a lovely dark "torbie" with a tortoise shell background and black, brown, and orange tabby stripes layered on top. "Vera-Noisy" also has a funny squeaky voice and loves to "sing" her unique song.

Vera has a gorgeous coat and a sweet face. Love love.

I remember making a set of those stickers for a cat mail art trade that we had here a couple of years ago and thought, why not do that again. I love the flower on the cat's butt!
