Rather like me, these paintings look simple, but are quite complicated and very time-consuming to do.

This one was not meant to have a sort of 'sun' in the top right hand corner, but no more than 5 minutes after I had finished it, my Siamese cat Trouble P***ed on it.  He now only has 8 lives left.

Grrr ... that darn cat! Maybe you should get your revenge by making a painting of him.

Speaking of cat-related artwork: I received this card from "artlikeart" in yesterday's mail. I love her prints, and this one is a beauty!

I love cats (and dogs) and had one a long time ago named CATSSIDY....you know from Hopalong!  Right now I am taking care of a rescued Papillion dog who is 12 years old named Phil...and he is the love of my life.  I raise money for my local Humane Society and say "Please adopt a Shelter Pet" whenever I get the chance!!!

Given my limited unbderstanding of French social etiquette, I think, Dear Mim, that if we're on kissin' terms we had better tu/toi each other.

(Boring Cultural Note: In France, two kisses are exchanged -- left cheek, right cheek. In Holland, three kisses -- left, right and left again. If you automatically stop after just 2 people are very surprised. In England, there is not much kissing -- or if there is, then I've been left out of it.)

This is Misty, the mother of my cat Bizoo. I didn't know this cat's name but originally I was going to name my kitten Neblina, which means Mist. Coincidence. But in the end, Bizoo was a better name for him.

On Saturday night it was hot, very hot here -- about 37° at 21.00, and men, women and beasties big and small were trying desperately to get some air..

Here is a photo of, I think*, Otto, one of my friend's cats, trying to get cool.

(* she has six cats, 5 of which are black and almost identical [the 6th is grey and white]. If this one isn't Otto, then he's taken over Otto's usual window)
