Bonjour! The trouble about these mini, mini computer thingies is that cats can't sleep on them. Until recently, we had an ancient monitor that weighed about 500 lbs and was big, flat and warm on top, so Bianca would make a nest on top of it while I pretended to work.

Now whe has to sit beside my laptop thingy.

Just a side note here, MomKat has a baby bump!

I could always knit you a pouch, Vizma. Or you could croquet one. I can't knit. Perhaps we could play a game of croquet instead.

This is Bianca helping me to reorganise and replant the pots on the terrace. (I would have included a photo of Trouble too, but he decided to use the 50 litre bag of potting soil that I'd lugged up 4 flights of stairs as an extension of his toilet tray, and he got chased away. I thought he'd come back to have his photo take, but he's sulking outside somewhere, and living up to his name). Val

I told Bianca that Nigel might be visiting her. She said that she has more than enough to put up with Trouble, but as long as Nigel behaves himself and doesn'(t try and eat all of her food, then he will be welcome. Trouble, however, was not so welcoming at all when told of a new arrival. Val

yes Matilda, she seems to be a very special cat (as they are all), and lives peacefully in the botanic garden a good life.

in spanish, these kind of cats of three colors, are called "calico", "mariposa(butterfly)" and "gata española", and they are, all, "female"

(Really he's perched precariously on the terrace , er, shelf. It's about 60 feet/20 meters from the ground, and he scares me silly when he does this. But he won't listen, of course, when I tell him to come down.)

It's not really hot, but he does have Hollowood ambitions.

No Irene, it's not another black cat. But it is black and the clue is: 'Eric'. The terrace is very high up. here is the view down to the impasse where my car is.

If he were the axe he'd be named Townsend or Hendrix, but he's probably a kitty that's into Yardbirds & Cream.

Vizma gets the Second Bonus Point, 'cos Eric's Strat was called Blacky.

Austin gets half a Second Bonus Point for the Slowhand/God comment, but looses a quarter of a Second Bonus 'cos Pete T mainly played (and destroyed) Rickenbackers, and Jimmy's Strat wasn't usually a black one, at least by the time he'd restrung it, played it upside down in his peculiar lefty style, and set fire to it. He then gets back a quarter of a Second Bonus point for the witty (Yard)birds and cream comment.

Who says this was about cats anyway? Rock on, gang!

Bianca was 10 years old yesterday. She was born in Montpellier at 11.45 CET on 4 April, 2002.  We got her when she was about 3 months old.

Yesterday she had a Birthday Party. Trouble was the Guest of Honour.

Here's Bianca waiting for her birthday presents, and Trouble waiting to attack the wrapping paper and string.

Then they had a Birthday lunch -- chicken breasts. And I toasted Bianca with a glass of vin rouge. A goo time was had by one and all.

...a paper clip?...no.. no, I only sent a painted envelope (empty) on march 26th., 11 days ago...and it often takes between 7 and 10 days to arrive...so, are we talking about different things?...ohhh i hope is not lost ...

Thanks Irene! Over Easter -- which seems to go on for ever here -- the post for the Exhibition at the mediatheque has been divereted to the Mairie/Town Hall, and the latter is CLOSED, so I can't acces my envelopes until Tuesday or even Wednesday of next week. I'll get back to you then.

Bianca and I worked on the terrace today.

Then one of us decided that she's done quite enough, and went to sleep.

Bianca is doing a great job ... I can tell!

MomKat's kits! Three cuties...yep.

MomKat is happy...and crossed-eyed..

There is also an odd grey kit which has lost her mom but MomKat adopted it seems.
