A group for people who love Cats -- everyone's invited to join, and their cats, of course. We welcome all Cat lovers and any and all Mail Art that features anything about Cats or Kats. Group formerly known as Katerina Nikoltsou.
Received cat+ mail from Katerina and Roberto today. Lovely both are! Possibly will wait for a week to check the POB cause the central post office is open in the morning only on Monday but the full day next Friday (I inquired about that today: I might need to post a few cartoons next week). They aren't open on weekends anymore (Used to be open on Saturdays until 7.30 pm, POB section excepted).
LOL Angie. You're right. I should have clarified. My one and only friend happens to be single and wants to know how to meet a man who likes cats. I'm all out of suggestions.
You're right Angie. And I realize this is completely off the topic of this group so sorry for that. To clarify--my one and only friend is a woman who is looking for a man who likes cats. So JE Sweefoo, I may have to send her your way. When she hears you are French oh la la!
Re: Cat Men, I have always found them to have more dimensions of mind and heart. Some cat men: John Lennon, James Dean, Mark Twain, Marlon Brando, and rather a lot right here in IUOMA also.
[Abraham Lincoln] was very fond of cats...stumbled upon three kittens that were homeless and orphaned during the Civil War. He found them in a telegraph hut, and started asking the locals about their mother but when he was told that the mother cat had died he took it upon himself to find the kittens a good home. Lincoln also had great affection for dogs. http://www.historyking.com/American-History/political-history/abrah...
Roberto, Kemal, Fleur, chaosatlanta, and Angie said they received CATchup, anyone else? Me just taking inventory and hoping the "cats" arrived in the USA ahead of Irene.( I don't suppose the "red splash" smells of ketchup..CATchup anymore?)
I wonder how Roberto is doing in Puerto Rico. I think Irene barreled through there pretty aggressively.
Katerina, I did receive your delicious CATchup card, and left a comment on your page, last Tuesday - gotta get myself some credit here! :) I didn't smell it, but will do so asap, and report back!
Yesterday, I sent three leetle CATholics on their way to: Tangoland, Waffleland, and Springbokland. Can you decipher my home-made code?
I am a slow-poke, yes, plus I am making individual cards. Can't help it - too many ideas for that word! Thank goodness for the "mail on or before Sept.1" rule....
Diane, Storm is beautiful! His twin's name is Seamus (even tho she is a girl.) I posted a picture of her here a few pages back, but really, no need to look at it, 'cause she looks just like Storm! We think Seamus is also at least part Maine Coon, since she has the ear tufts, is vocal and friendly, and is very smart! I want to send you some mail art, so will include more info about my little love bug in that.
Hey, dear Cat People! I am behind in me CATplus mailings! Bear with me...ye shall receive!
While you are waiting, you may want to view the fantastic Cat People films, from the 1940's, if you haven't seen them already. Cat People (1942) and The Curse of the Cat People (1944). Simone Simon, who plays the leading character, adds much mysterious ambiance with her exotic, beautiful Serbian accent. Now, don't expect sweet, domestic kitties in these films - oh, no!
Ha-ha-ha! Also found Lynn Palmiter's CATplus art in my mailbox today! Now I know who that "lovely feline" is, that I mentioned in previous post - will not say anymore....tee-hee! Thank you Lynn Jr., and Elizabeth - wonderful CATplus mail art!
And....last but not least, that's for sure, is Kemal's beautiful CAT+ art...also arrived today....from Istanbul! First time I've ever received mail from Turkey! Great mail day - cat treasures!
We bow down to you, Angie & Snooky, as the new admin of the group, but you know that our cats don't! Shouldn't we have a retirement dinner for Val? He has done so much for this group!
That's so sad about Tara, Roberto! I'm sorry that lovely sweet cat is gone.
Viviana, I haven't gotten your Cat+ piece yet. However, we've been having a long holiday weekend in the U.S., with no mail delivery. When it comes, I'll post here. I'm looking forward to seeing it!
Received "CAT-a-comb" from Lynn and a "CAT tus" from Elizabeth. They came together...how nice is that! Thank you...both are fun! What a cat is Benini!!!
Cernjul, haven't received you CAT mail yet....looking forward to it, though!
Roberto, Tara is precious! Fingers crossed that if she's not living the life of Reilly in heaven, she is with a new owner, perhaps whose cat food she prefers? :) And she may yet show up, after her travels. Stranger things have happened...

Miaou!
This seems to be a great 'SUCcess' -- which is one of the antonyms for 'CATastrophe' in my dictionary.
I'm glad you're all having fun with this.
Regards, Bianca, Trouble and Val
