hey katerina, cats don't go on strike -- they just go to sleep for many, many hours a day. i won't be sleeping but organising my big exhibition and getting stuff together for another one which just might come my way in autumn/fall if i can get enough super-sized arti-slides together in time. regards JE Sweefoo

Val, is that your big "365 envelopes" exhibit? And will you include our mail art envelopes to you...or just your envelopes to you? Well, the best of success for your exhibit...and it's understandable that you won't be participating in CATplus...BUT, you shall be getting a few from us, i betcha!

Hi Katerina. yes, it's my 365 exhibition that I set up later this week; it only has my envelopes in it -- cos that's the original concept and i don't want to change it. i'm seriously thinking about a mail2sigean (like the mail2maastricht exhibition) for next year, but i need to so some politicing locally before that can happen. i'm also considering an autumn atristamp exhibition, cos i've just met a franco-dutch artist and art professor, who has really inspired me to think in totally different ways -- but then that's not too different!

For some reason I have not found the sign-up date deadline, really I looked.  However, my distractions have taken over.  In our tiny yard the unexpected squash plant is spreading out and it needs a lot of photographing, and the squirrels, and bees, then suddenly early morning coffee outdoors has turned into lunchtime.

What's the sign-up date.  The mailing date is 1 september, right?

I am working on getting a pic of my cat, a black long-hair, up here.  Black cats are tricky to photo!  Soon, tho.....as you can imagine, she's not exactly cooperating...

Robert, thank you, although I can't take credit for her beauty - that's just how she arrived.  Her name is Seamus, which is a boy's name, but I didn't know anything about sexing cats, believe it or not, when I named her!  Also, I needed an ancient name, from the time of the Druids, because she looks like she would have hung out with them  - she's mysterious and magical.

Cheryl, wow - that is one fabulous CATapillar!!!  Must take her a long time to get dressed in the morning!

The lovely CATS are beginning to arrive here in New York State:  Roberto's and Catherine's greeted me Friday and Saturday from my mailbox - "wheeee!"  (I translated that from the CATanese, of course.)  I am going to post them soon - they have to have some rest after their journeys, you know....

Two more mail art kitties arrived today, cards from Angie and Katerina!

Josefina is enjoying them, too. She gets extremely interested whenever I look at them, butting them with her head!

Received a whole box full of CATplus art!  Wonderful stuff from Fleur, Cathérine, Linda, Angie & Snooky, and Katerina.  Thanks everyone.

Posted 13 cat+ cards all in envelopes 14x20 cm today and checked POB where I found Mim's card with number 5 and no cat+ cards yet. Happy that I am not too late. From Saturday on there is a looooooooong holiday in Turkey when the post offices are also closed (2 weekends and a week). Will check box Friday for the last chance before the holiday.
