Larry arrives at No 10 Downing St.

Larry is a cat.

No 10 Downing St is where the British Prime Minister (him called Cameron, David) lives.

Mr C has just rescued Larry from a cat shelter and installed him in No 10 to catch the mice that are said to be numerous there.

I am sure we wll wish Larry lots of luck.

(Historical note: in the 1990's there was a famous No 10 cat called Humphrey. But when Tony Blair moved in, poor old Humphrey had to go because Mrs Blair was allergic to him, or something. Humphrey spent the rest of his days on a British Government estate somewhere in the country, where he was, apparently, much happier than he was when he was confined to No 10 and its Rose (back) Garden.)

Remember all those cute little kittens last summer, under my balcony? The white and black sisters, twins? triplets, whatever? They are BIG now...and all with baby-bumbs, me thinks we are in for a whole lot of kittens soon!

and asking for a bit of cheese?

Whoever painted those 3 cats didn't quite get the black and white markings lined up properly!

Cats and kits! Meow...'been a month and no sign of new kittens or any cat activity.

However, it is bunny season...yep, and even the Year-of-the-Rabbit, so the cats are all a-sleepin?

Nice fluffy Pooh Bear, Linda. No three-legged cats here, but one is without a tail. Don;t know how that happened, slammed in a car door perhaps. 'Tis a street cat.

I love cats. I love their grace.

The street cats that live under my balcony in the city. There were 5 mamas who had 7 kittens this Spring and there is an ol' black tomcat that comes around from time to time, naturally. The courtyard is shared by three apartment buildings, so the cats are all well fed, and sheltered from the cold by going in the basement by the central heating system in the rainy winter. They also go down in the cool basement during the hot Greek midday hours, too! They are all spoiled royally!

Anything and everything is possible BUT I think it would be more interesting if everyone had a different CATword as that is almost certainly guaranteed to get different mail art results.  I did think of just having one CATword and asking everyone to contribute to that, but it was impossible to choose which CATword, and it seemed much more sensible to let everyone choose their own CATword. Y'all can decide -- and then tell eepy what y'all have chosen.

hey, stop CATerwauling at me cos i'm not anti CATerpillar and might get CATaplexy if this develops into a CATastrophe. people can choose what they like, and in the meantime i'll go back to my usual CATatonic state in CAThar country until i resolve the CATharsis that you've sparked off and which has has seriously reduced my CAThexis levels. i don't wish to be CATty but this is CATegorically my last word on the subject.
