Sensations of Tone by Hermann von Helmholtz

Has anyone read The Sensations of Tone by Hermann von Helmholtz??  I got a copy of the Dover edition for my birthday;  I haven't read it yet, but I am thinking about making some art about it.

    I've only read a few books that quote Helmholtz, if that counts. Interesting illustrations perhaps?

      I've had a copy in my basement for ... 20 years? Still haven't read it.  Whenever I pick it up and flip through it, it looks dryer than I'd like it to be so I put it down.  Best of luck!
