I wanted to start a discussion thread to keep all ideas on a final book seperate. Please throw in any ideas you have

365 pages, 12 chapters? Paying homage to significant happenings during our year of art (ie.) the lunar eclipse...just a thought.

Still ruminating on this idea. I think it would be great to have a yearbook and some celebration on November 30th.

Perhaps a mailart show? Still very very keen on the book idea.

I think (both) are great ideas! Just let me know or us collectively what you need. Have you made any decisions on content or theme for the book, I still think incorporating the calendar year as a main focus and then just building around that is a great idea. 365 pages is quite a large undertaking (in my mind) but I think by the end of our 365 experience there will certainly be enough material to fill a 365 page book!

What about 12 issues of zines, and each zine could feature the best mail art from a month? I love the idea of having a fully bound book in my hands, but I wouldn't mind little installments of mail art either. ^^

These are all terrific ideas. I think a book/zine with an artist page and samples of work would be wonderful. I would certainly pay for a copy. And of course a party would be good for everyone to meet too......maybe a cyber party? I actually had a thought that Chronicle Books in San Francisco might be interested in publishing a MailArt365 book -- it seems like just the type of thing they publish....if we had a mock-up or a copy made and approached them it might be interesting.....

An agent, we need an agent. Word needs to get out in lots of places that a book is wanted/needed/wished for, and perhaps we'll be contacted by an agent, like Noah was. The agent can then shop the idea around to publishers. I'm going to put on my blog that we want that.

But to get an agent, we need to pay them, right?... And I don't want to toss all of this on Andy. He's putting enough work into this as it is! If we need to pay, we have to make sure that we all split the cost.

I've emailed them to ask them to make one for us. I reckon Gold for 365 in a year, silver or black for 365 pieces over a longer time.
