"Een postkaart per dag voor een week/ A postcard a day for a week" is the title of my mini, one-man Exhibition that I will be holding in Café Jenze, Alexander Battalaan 47A, Maastricht (about 250 meters from the Station) between 24-31 May.

Please note that this is not in any way a rival to 'M2M': instead it just gives me a chance to exhibit a few of my recent collages at the bar I will be hanging out in during the few days I will be in Maastricht. Also note that the "Postcards" aren't really postcards -- they are bigger than the normal postcard format -- and there might be more than one a day, because I have prepared too many!

If you're in Maastricht, and fancy joining me for a drink in Café Jenze do let me know -- I'll be only too pleasecd to buy you a drink.

Regards, Val

Here then is the programme for the Mail2Maastricht event:

[11:40:03] Inge Stevens:

Having just returned from Italy in 1972, the artists Theo van der Aa and Ger van Dijck established in Maastricht the widely recognised initiative Agora Studio which was one of the leading art initiatives in the Netherlands until the 80's.

With astounding projects from all around the world and self administered art publications, Agora accomplished a central role within an international network of artists working with former avant-garde art expressions such as performance, video-art, mail-art and sound-art.

During the KunstTour-weekend; through an extensive program in which the topic of Agora is explored, Hedah will pay homage to this illustrious predecessor,

with the cooperation of, amongst others, the Canadian mail-artist Anna Banana, the Danish performance-artist Niels Lomholt and the Agora-artists Rod Summers and Raul Marroquin. who were very much involved with Agora from its inception.
