I've received several wonderful ATCs from amazing artists (Lulu Flanagan, Live Ed, Theo Nelson, Nonlocal Variable Coco Muchmore, Dr. Zack, Richard Baudet, Mikel Untzilla, Carl Baker - thank you all so much, I love them dearly...did I miss anyone? I have room for more!) It makes me happy to have the art out rather than archived. It reminds me to create some myself, it's a new and delightful art format to me. I started to put them on my study wall, then felt that keeping them to myself wasn't enough and wanted to share.

I discovered these magnetic picture holders and began displaying on the side of my metal art supply cabinet, then got permission from my local tea shop to start a little gallery - nod to Jon Foster for the mini gallery. On the bookshelf inside is a copy of Coco's guide to ATCs - there are plans for a little free library, little food bank, and a little gallery to be adjacent to this building.

I saw a discussion thread about storage and display of ATCs somewhere on this site (someone said they use a rollodex, which I thought was brilliant, others use three ring binders, etc.)

What do you all do with yours?

I want to avoid Amazon but with apologies didn't this time: magnetic photo frames

i love that you are able to share them at that little tea shop. really great to share with a different audience that way. mine are just stored in 3 ring binders.

The owner is a zine maker as well as providing amazing tea. The idea really is to get other people making and sharing, I provided several empty frames :-)

do they sell zines at the shop as well? i'm always happy to see people or places that try to get people into creating things like this.

There are some zines, and diy art books, in the fashion of a library - no price tags, visitors encouraged to browse and enjoy. All seeds for promotion of creativity and play of various sorts. It's wonderful, and I was sad that it was closed this week.

oh, that's cool. there used to be a coffee shop here that was run sort of like a library. there were tons of books (and even a few zines) for people to peruse. a lot of art and photography books. they'd even been known to ask people to be quiet who were talking too loudly(so really like a library).

i know at that zine show happening in brooklyn and at a lot of zine fests they have a table or shelf for "leave a zine take a zine" where people were encouraged to leave their own zine and take one from the shelf/table home. i really like that idea.
