The archive is now 26 years old. There were 2 large exhibitions (One in San Francisco, One in Moscow). The collections now has grown quite large. What should be the next step for the archive? I have already planned a next publication, but the problem is including all contributions into the documentation. A DVD with all is a sollution, but digital documents are not realy a tribute for the Rubber....

Any Suggestions and/or ideas?

Yes, sure this is a possibility. We can work out details by e-mail and see what is possible.
which museum would have such a collection?
There is a new museum in Breda Graphical Design Museum) which I want to involve in a future exhibition. But they can't show a collection of 20,000+ pieces I guess. I will investigate a bit more.
The concept of the previous exhibitions was that new sheets were sent in to the exhibition and they joined the collection afterwards. Sending the old sheets to another location is a difficult task. One would have to select. Wouldn't like to exhibit only the 'big names' and 'most beautiful works' only. The concepts was to make special sheets which would go straight to the exhibition. Just read the catalogue of the last exhibition (is is published as a hardcover book, but on www.iuoma.org there is a link to a free .pdf file with all the details as well.
Mostly one has to claim the control. That normally works. My first exhibition was is the subsidized Gallery "Melkweg" in Amserdam. They gave me full controll and a budget. Even a hotel to stay during the building..... Those were the days....
thank you!
nice!

i have a friend that has around a 100 or more rubber stamps...some of the oddest things are made into stamps,i have carved a few over the years and still have a couple of them...id love to contribute to this project

the blog is fine but an actual web site/online musuem with all the examples would be amazing, nice full sized scans not just thumbnails!
maybe even some very large sized images of the best works or a revolving selection of the better images would be good
not sure how much space this would take up,im sure over a 100gigs but now days thats not that much space...finding a museum to pay for the online space would probably be easier then talking them into dealing with 25,000 seperate pieces of art,a permanent but revolving display at a museum or several different museums would be nice

good luck!
I am trying to do a project with students Media Design to make sucg a media-production. The scanning of the material is just one of the problems. Hosting, making site, financial aspects. That is another problem. The idea is something to consider though.

A Collage Sheet with 4 participants. There are several forms of Stampsheets for the Archive. That makes it so interesting. These 4-collage sheets tend to dissapear, so that is why I am happy whenever one gets returned. Thanks martha!
Some stampsheets are published in the group "Rubberstamps" in the last weeks. Also prints from the past by mail-artists that have vanished...... But still are alive with their work.
