"VARIATIONS on a Bar Code Op. 015" from the master, Dean Marks in Paris

Obsessive-Bar-Code-Syndrome: OBCS? Or BCD = Bar Code disease? Or, fantastic art!

'Tis a beauty , even though it got a bit chewed up by the postal machine...

...that happens when you don't use an envelope! (Ahem)

Some pieces have fallen off, but this adds to the underlying theme, me thinks.

And close-up details are FAB! Great geometric precision and colorful blue/black combinations!

Also REAL bar codes, but safely hidden as to not upset the postal machine scanner.

On the flip side, Dean's ever-so informative commentary. Great!

And a "see-through" stamp, and ...oh, a cow with cheese earrings ;-)

Also a beautiful French postage stamp for the Year of the Dragon 2012!

Thank you, Dean, dear boy, blue mouse looooves it (me, too) xxx

"...the falling bar codes, drift by my window..."

Dean need not learn new gluing techniques...he needs to use an ENVELOPE :-)

'Just to be on the safe side, ya know.

No worries, Katerina & I are Mail Artist so I'm sure we can come up with a photo of you in Lederhosen during our meeting in Paris.

Now Erni, a photo of you in Lederhosen would be worth gold!  Can you dig up some old photos?

Happy it arrived with only 4.5 pieces missing.  And Marie is only missing 1 piece!  I'll have to working on my gluing technic. Katerina, my guess is that you played around with it and found that it also folds up to make a tray. (As Marie guessed it, the support is the tray of the laughing cow cubes which come in many flavors, but we only buy the veggie ones.)

Erni, Val tells me that some Bars do have codes.  Some bars you have to wear lederhosen! (Val is the short one... on a no hat day!)

The mouse looks as if he has no idea how to run Dean's bar code maze!

not chocolate candy bars ;-)

not beer or whiskey bars ;-)

(except for one "Bar Code" bar in Istanbul)

but the lines that run down are known as "bars"
