A compendium of great recently received postcards...
Dr Zack sends scrump-dili-icious greeting in the form of some very creative collage work. Careful! You could put somebody's eye out with that thing!! Fortunately, it was "wrapped" in a protective glove...always play safe!
I feel VERY lucky to have gotten this amazing First-Day-of-Issue card with the NEW facade of Mount Rushmore! "Shrine of Oligarchy!" This card was a collaboration project between Adam Roussopoulos and Joel The Sticker Dude...and WHAT A COLLABORATION IT IS!! I like thinking that what all those vain billionaires don't realize is that the inside of Mount Rushmore, inside the carved heads, IS A SERIES OF COMPLETELY EMPTY CAVERNS. That's right! There's NOTHING INSIDE THOSE DUMB@$$ BILLIONAIRE HEADS!!
I
have to admit that for a moment, I thought that these two creative fellows had managed to get their artistamps posted through the mail as legal tender postage stamps! but a much closer inspection reveals that that "First-Day-of-Issue" on the front is a PARODY of the ACTUAL vintage stamps used to send the piece through the mail. BRAVOSO to these two fantastic collaborators!
David Stanley Aponte—Subreal Alchemy—sends a collage-designed postcard of his own (that I like very much), with his usual amusing and prolific rubber stampery on the reverse side...
And Jack of Cascadia Artpost sends a scathing rebuke of recent U.S. overstep upon our Venezuelan independent counterparts in another of his "U.S. FOREVER WARS"-series (which interestingly—and damningly—never seems for want of new material). We're not even at war with Venezuela...except in the repulsively vain and warped mind of a narcissist autocrat and his "kegsbreath" war-mongering Defense Dept. Chair. I look forward to the day when international war crimes are officially brought against those involved who have overreached their power. And thanks to Jack for the bravery to make the outrage of citizens' (of both countries) plain. Our collective voices are our strongest power.
Thanks to all these amazing artists and correspondent friends!
