Thank you. Seems to be a common problem. :D With rubber carving I came out without any injuries so far as it is soft and I don't need to put so much pressure on the material.

OUCH! PERASTIKA as we say in Greece.

I used to do wood cuts, and such "finger cuts" is why I stopped also :-(

Maybe I'll do an "eraser" carving from time to time, but no more heavy-duty stuff.
