Rare and vintage US presidential postage,(very rare 3 cents!)

This mail art postcard from Mike Parsons inspired me to sort through bags and bags of old postage stamps

that have been stored away deep in closets for too long...

coming out, sorting, soaking, drying,

and to be used on Holiday Greetings!

Thanks, Mike, for the inspiration!

...and old Greek stamps on this collage card  that came from Patricia Landon

made it very special mail art:

'Really liked how Adam Roussopoulos used the Lincoln stamps on mail that he sent me some time ago:

Well, I do have a few albums of a "stamp collection" nature,

and for years I wondered if I could use old postage stamps in mail art collages,

BUT

my hoard of recently discovered Holiday Greetings has such horribly "franked" stamps,

that they probably are "worthless" in the eyes of serious stamp collectors...perhaps?

17.11.20 Dare Ms. Katerina N., ...yes, I admire the  Mike Parsons Postage Stamp Postcard collage as well-- -& your "Season's Greetings USA 1981" of cancelled postage stamps is potentially even a better Xmas Greeting than the original  Warholian sheet of stamps from the Post Office on day One. I  can only imagine our  serious stamp collector friends now screaming & crying in horror. Incidentally, I.U.O.M.A. member Tofu of San Francisco has been mining this territory for quite some time........... I wanna Mike Parsons Postage Stamp collage mailing, & a Katerina Nikoltsou Postage Stamp collage, a Tofu Postage Stamp  collage & an Ilya Semenenko-Basin Postage Stamp Collage mailing for my already  over-stuffed archive.---but then again..... don't we all. SinCelery, Richard Canard

This is a great idea. Let's use postage stamps in our collages.
